I hate killing British People!!!

I hate to say this as an irish person but in Total War I find it very hard to kill British people. I identify with them more than the other nations obviously and most of my friends are British. When I see the British lines closing in on my french lines and hear them talking " oh lord this is it! " I start to feel like i shouldn't be killing them and it really adds a human touch to the game which I like a lot. Also I know that 1/3 of the Brit army is in some way irish so I guess that would also add to my dislike in killing British people in the game.

I sometimes get that not wanting to kill a certain enemy unit, but ussually the instinct to blow stuff up overrides it...

hey there mostly christian aint they and to die believing in god means you go to heaven a beautifull place where everything is perfect and wonderfull so think of it as releasing them from there terrible lives of forced marching and really bad millitary food to send them somewhere really nice.

But yes i love how they have added a very human touch to the men with all there comments i crack up everytime i hear hey sarge i think there trying to kill us, get on your feet be thankfull your not dead yet ,sarge im scared (done in a marvelous voice.

In my French campaign, I'm trying so very hard to ensure my invasion force doesn't get destroyed the minute it lands on Great Britain, so I have to disagree with the sentiment in the topic title...

But yes, the human touch to the battles is very integrating.

At first I hated fighting the Danes in NTW or ETW, but that was only until I heard those obnoxious Swedish voices the Danish troops have, then I started enjoying it again! Bloody Swedes taking all the military jobs away from the real Danes.

For me the game is a gross departure from the norm.

I greatly dislike playing as the French. Even in MTW I avoided them. It is like anybody but the French.

I even regretted wiping out nosey and his boys when they invaded and seiged Hanover...but it sure looked nice at the end of the battle to see the army drop dead.

I was perfectly fine with mowing down Americans in ETW. You just need to be desensitized a bit more.

Not quite sure why anyone would feel anything killing units in a computer game unless they were detached from reality somehow, but if it makes you feel better just think of them as the ancestors of irritating people today. Historical abortion, you might call it.

I love killing my danish neighbours in every TW game. I dont like to kill norwegian people, but I love to slaughter danish.
