Campaign scrolling suddenly stops

I'm in the middle of a Prussian campaign, when suddenly I can no longer scroll the map with the mouse. I checked to see if I accidently turned off the scrolling, but the interface says it should still work. I did some minor troubleshooting, but to no avail. Everything else seems to work, but it is rather annoying. Has anybody else encountered this? Any ideas?

Have you tried saving and restarting your campaign at that point?

I read a post at .com but there was no fix at that time.

Yeah, I tried that. Then I started a new campaign, observed that the scrolling worked fine, loaded the original campaign. Unfortunately, that didn't work. It must be a bug, but I can't figure out what might have triggered it.

All I can say is random bug and no word from CA about a fix.

I just had this too - so unbelievably annoying. Even tried a re-install.. guess ill just have to start a new campaign. God how teh hell did a bug like this get thru?!?!?

It is now January 2011, and this problem just hit me. I am assuming that nobody ever either fixed it, or offered a solution. What a pain.

As a brief update -- in case anyone has any ideas -- I have completely reinstalled the game, and campaign scrollilng now works, but only in my solo game, not in the MP campaign in which I am engaged. Any suggestions? Would it help if the host also reinstalls the game?

I would doubt it would help reinstalling, again.

Have you verified your game cache integrity?

Have you reported this the the official forums?

Thanks for your reply. Yes, to your first question, and no, to the second, mostly because I rarely see any response from CA to any queries, but I might as well give it a try, and thanks again.

So now that I am playing again, almost two years later, this bug has resurfaced, and I see that CA hasn't even deigned to discuss it. Just for the record, when I start a new game, this is not an issue, so the problem is in NTW itself, not elsewhere.

Ho-hum...
