    Thanks to the Res Gestae Team, I now have units for the Mauryan Empire I just need to sort them and do some editing.

    I've now edited Res Gestae's Mauryan units to my liking, and am in the process of coding them in. A preview will follow

    I intend to make a Beta release once I have got the Mauryan units completely sorted (with sprites, unit cards - my changes render the RG ones if not unusable, then rather inaccurate - and stats), sorted the other factions' units for now (Pergamon, Achaians, Belgae and the minifactions need sorting), and given the Barbarian factions governments. It will be Beta because I will still have a lot of units to add/make and will probably need to do a lot of economic balancing.

    I would show some screenshots of my latest endeavours into the foreign art of skinning, but some of my skins will probably be used for VII, so I probably shouldn't... And I've finished off the Mauryans, but I can't work out how to get a spearman to use a sword Other than that, I could preview them now.

    If he actually meant that he wants the spearmen to also use the sword as a secondary weapon, then that`s not possible (without some serious glitches)unless the unit also has the phalanx attribute.

    Thanks The unit in question doesn't have a secondary weapon, but there is a sword on its skin which is the same as the sword on another swordsman's skin. The "Prome_new_unit_Mauryan_Spearinfantry_high" is the one I want changed; the other has the sword on it. I've added the textures as well in case you need them. Uttarapathian_Swords is the one that fits on the spearmen.

    Edit: @Florin: No, I want the spearman to discard his spear and use a sword

    I'm not 100% sure what it is you wanted, reading your last post, but what I have done is create a new CAS for the spearinfantryman (high2) where the sword is now the primary weapon, and the spear the secondary.

    nitpicking here...

    not Ἀυτόνομαι πόλεις Ἑλλήνων, but Ἀυτόνομοι πόλεις Ἑλλήνων (η Αυτόνομος, αι Αυτόνομοι) (sing. autonomos, pl. autonomoi)

    Also, coins of the Achean (and Aetolian) leagues refer to their confederation as "κοινόν" (koinon - commonwealth), not "symmachia" or anything else. Therefore "Κοινόν των Αχαιών" (koinon ton achaion) [equally Κοινόν των Αιτωλών - koinon ton aitolon]. Best use it that way

    Finally, all successor dynasties were styled "kings" (sing. basileus - pl. basileis), so best use "kingdom" for their territories (basileion)

    Thanks I'll probably release sometime after VII, in part because VII is keeping me busy (along with the cricket season ) and also because I will use things from it.

    Well, they're most accurate. Though I could leave out the end bits, but I doubt anyone will know what I mean with "Basileion tou Diodotou" (Bactria) Maybe I should just put the region in brackets behind them.

    Why does VII have "Aiakid Dynastai" when it means Epirus and "Attalid Dynastai" for Pergamon (I don't think it's even correct Greek )
