I can't believe you missed The Wire.

The best TV show I've ever seen. Each of the 5 seasons are class and there's not a bad character in the show (apart from Marlo)

X-Files

Millennium - An amazing show by the creator of the X-Files, most crime shows on TV now carbon copy elements of it. It's also one of the few shows on TV that will really creep you out.

Curb Your Enthusiasm

Bored to Death (Zach Galifianakis, Jason Scwartzman, and Ted Danson are the most unlikely comedy trio but they are hysterical in this).

Used to follow a lot of american tv-series, now I never watch anything more than a few sit coms now and then. Two and a Half Men, How I Met Your Mother, The Simpsons and so forth, I still watch every new South Park on the internet though
