Adding Japan faction

Thoughts? I'd thoroughly enjoy it. I'd love to field some Japanese military units in a game for once. It's oddly rare for Japan to be included in an RTS style game.

I am aware of the lapse in history if this project were to be considered. Imperial Japan wasn't really founded military wise until the 1850's-1870's. Though some Samurai would still be interesting additions. Even so, the Imperial Japanese Army's model wasn't too far off from NTW's period's model of armies.

Being thinking the same but maybe Japan would fit better in some Empire total war mod (1700-1800). As far as i know there is a Siam Total war mod going on and who knows when someone is going to add China and Japan

It would be a good addition however where will you put them?

Yes untill 1786 it may of been their army was not based on gunpowder but instead the sword. During the end Satsuma Rebellion when the military was reformed. However TW is not about following history but changing it.
