    Ethiopia isn't called Makuria. There's no Ethiopia in BC. Makuria was medieval African kingdom.

    Lack of informational sources is what isolates them. Makuria did extist but we don't know much about it. The same in case of Oman which was culturally isolated, since it wasn't Sunni. No one cared about objective knowledge then. All was politics. That's why I don't believe the chroniclers.

    Makuria was ancient Nubian (Sudanese) kingdom. They used to be Christians before.
