Load Times?

I've already ordered N:TW, but I was wondering how the load times and AI turn times compared to those in Empire, because they were definitely my biggest annoyance with that game. Have they gotten better? Worse? Have they stayed the same?

It is very fast compared to Empire old bean!

With ma machine
initial load time: about 2 1/2 minutes
battles: less than 2
campaign turn: less than 1/2 with Italian and Egypt. about 1 with Europe and Coalition

But I can't tell you how much better compared to ETW since I wasn't an issue for me.

That's fantastic to hear! Thanks for the quick replies guys. If the load times are any better, then this game seems poised to completely replace Empire. All it needs now is a Grand Campaign addon.

They're fast alright, faster than ETW. Game runs smooth, I've only had it crash twice and I've played too many hours than I care to admit!

I sometimes see really long load times during the first boot up of the game...but battles etc are usually about a minute. The AI turns are pretty quick, although I wish I didn't have to follow any AI moves, or have Russia constantly asking me to attack the Ottomans!

Is that so? I play as France and I wish the ottomans wouldn't constantly ask me to attack Russia!

Load times are much better than ETW.

The time lapse between turns is also much improved. No more interminable Ottoman turns.

I am glad to be able to say that I have not experienced one crash!
