Default graphics options and system bottlenecks

    Hello all,

I'm enjoying NTW a lot, running it currently with graphics settings maxed out. Does hurt framerates though, getting like 10 frames a second on average.

Any tips or tricks to get the framerates a bit up? I noticed turning off SSAO will almost double the framerate, all the other settings don't seem to make much difference, including doubling the unit sizes.

    These are my PC specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 2x3,16GHz met 6MB cache + boxed Intel cowler
    Motherboard: Asus P5KPL-CM met Intel G31 chipset, DDR2, SATA2 en PCI-E 16x
    4 GB DDR2 PC6400 800MHz dual channel Kingston
    DVD±RW LG 20x, dual layer
    500GB Seagate SATA2 32MB cache
    NVidia Geforce 9800GT 512MB DDR3 videocard
    8 channel audio on board
    Silent 420W PSU

What are the bottlenecks in this system?

    Thanks in advance!

There are a lot of then here.
    -GPU
    -PSU

I don't like your CPU but its not bottlenecking, your memory I duno the CL of it, but since its DDR2 the speed is low
Your HD is small ( well for me at least that have a lot of films and music ) the platter (the disk where it stores the info is also small. This affects performance, the speed of it should be 7200 rpm. The ''fastest'' hd out there is the sammsumg f3.

now please don't ask again bragging rigths questions. If you want to now more about your machine go to the desktop thread.
