No offense taken really, in fact that was just a proposal, I'm glad to get feedback, waiting from General Dragon's feedback before pursuing

@ cedric, you can also play with the texture a bit as from Jadli's post, this should work in relation with the sword. That's only my opinion but similar textures for both medals would be better in that case

I think the shield with the G on it is good, but a similar texture that matches the chess piece and sword, would make it perfect.

No hard feeling my friend but they still look too "cartoonish" compare to the swords. Below a quick example I've made (hope that's fine with you to post here ):

As you can see, the textures are more similar. If you need, I can send you the textures I've used. Just let me know
Anyway, this is just to show you. These above still need some adjustments imo. By lowering their contrast and playing with their light, they can be improved - I guess

Well it would probably be easier if you've done the medals by yourself TBH.
You've done all the other GS awards before and you get the proper material.
So I won't be pissed off if you take the job from now on

I am kinda feel bad now, that we (sort of) pushing cedric around how should it look like. Lifth I asked cedric because if I believe you told me you are taking a sort of break until the end of october from requests. (unless I missinterpreted that one). Lifth do you want to do it now, or you let it be finished by cedric?

@ cedric, sorry Mate. I didn't want to "steal" the job from you. I was just trying to illustrate how it should be from my view
Here is the deal: I use your model and I work only about the texture. Then, before to submit it here, I show it to you first to get your opinion (credit to you of course to have done most of the job).

@ General Dragon., yes you got me wrong I said that I was (and still am) very busy in RL and that any request (not taken by cedric) will requier time for delivery. I have absolutly no problem if you want cedric to do it. He's pretty talented

With cedric's approval, here are the medals re-textured:

No major change compare to my previous version, I've just made the textures looking more "used". Let us know if your happy with these GD

    Lifth,

I take the colours represent Gold, Silver and Bronze, if so Bronze looks more precious than Gold, I mean it is more shiny than the 1st shield, although this is probably down to my crappy laptop or poor eyesight!!

I don't know NJ. On my laptop they look fine. On my mobile phone as well. For info and in case it's not clear, from top to bottom, it's bronze, silver and gold
Anyway, let's wait for others' input and see if they got the same comment

I believe you guys did a splendid job with it and this version seems perfect to add to the other awards. Sent some small appreciation for you guys.
