I will give this a try.The Empire mod was incredible work and even Darth recognised some innovations from this guy,so I would trust that this will indeed perform as advertised
I don't doubt that it's excellent. However, it would be very kind to provide some sort of changelog, since a lot of the values override changes in other mods/personal tweaks. For instance, does the morale and fatigue tables affect the AI directly (and not indirectly, as in a tired unit gets flagged as needing rest)? Or can I leave them as I compiled JaM's and dogmeat's changes?
Changelog.... pretty please.
For the record this entry is incorrect for script file: mod cntw_Battle_AI_v1b.pack;
Correct way: mod "cntw_Battle_AI_v1b.pack";
Interesting - does it work with tyrants combat mod?
Cheers
Nice just tested it out!! +Rep
Didn't really see any improvement- tried a cuistom battle. me a GB versus the French, The Ai just charged forward, did not stop and fire volleys apart from a couple of units on the flanks. Seems to get caught up in a big blob and just go into the melee. What changes are we supposed to be seeing with this?
Cheers
If i use this with Realism mod show I add it before Ner03 in load order?
Tried it again, this time GB versus Austrians on a different map - same issues. The Ai melee almost immediately, or spend the rest of the time trying to get out of each others way, getting shot to pieces in the process. It looks like synchronised swimming if you speed it up!
Really odd becasue i'm seeing screenshots of the AI lining up nicely for other people, but it just doesn;t happen in my games. They go into melee almost immediately.
Thanks Toon I tried that and still hav ethe same problem - just out of interest. When I went back into the script file the "cntw_Battle_AI_v1b.pack"; line had dissapeared from the top line. Is this normal? Do you have to keep pasting the script line into the file? I just get the feeling the mod is not activating for some reason. I save the script after making the changes. Cheers
Just tried it, superb work mate! +rep.
I also use Realism mode with the simple pack file (no editig script.txt) Can I do the same with your ai mod and without removing the realism mode?
i too am interested in this.I also use Realism mode with the simple pack file (no editig script.txt) Can I do the same with your ai mod and without removing the realism mode?
Testing on h/h and it seems much better. The general isn't doing suicide charges at the beginning and the AI is at least trying to form lines for a firefight. Still some units barging into mine but not as bad as before.
