Drum Roll Change (cadences)
The word "cadence" was applied to these work songs because of an earlier meaning, in which it meant the number of steps a marcher or runner took per minute. The cadence was set by a drummer or sergeant and discipline was extremely important, as keeping the cadence directly affected the travel speed of infantry. There were other purposes: the close-order drill was a particular cadence count for the complex sequence of loading and firing a musket. In the Revolutionary War, Baron von Steuben notably imported European battlefield techniques which persist, greatly modified, to this day.

What this mod does is change the annoying generic drum roll, when your unit marches off, for more "authentic" drum rolls in custom and campaign battle for all factions!

This mod is in Patch file format and shouldn't interfere with other mods!
And they work perfectly with my battle march tunes!

At the moment this mod is registered here on TWC, this is so that I can have the chance to fully develop this mod, with bugle sounds and other authentic sounds, before other members emulate my work, later when I have completed this project I will open it up for other modders to make their own versions, I think thats fair myself? Permissions: Personal use only. This means that the creator wishes that under no circumstances can elements of their work be included in other mods, Permission may be sought but refusal is likely. I recommend using these mods with my music and drum cadence mods, 400 and 500 line infantry units play the British grenadiers does sound splendid indeed!

Just saying that even in lossless quality the sound files shouldn't be that large afaik.

No Digby old boy. it made no difference when I took away the extra files, the Drum cadence files are 88MB before packaging, because they are full drum cadences and are in high quality stereo, apart from that they are wav file fomat, unlike the march tunes which are mp3 format which means wav format are considerably larger, 115MB before I rar them, I just tried removing any extra files and it hardly made any difference when I RaR them and not worth the effort of re -uploading again, and I am waiting for the mod to upload to Rapid-share, hope this explaines, why the mod is 64MB, and I dont think I want to reduce the quality by converting them to mono. Considering the sound file in the game is over 3GB I dont think I have done too bad? No offense taken it was a "valid" question and this is my answer! So no I wont be re-uploading!
