    Ok, thanks. Like I said, I am somewhat of a noob to the whole modding scene: slowly but surely getting the hang of things.

    I really appreciate you're hard work, this mod is for sure the best for the "epic" battles.

    If I may make a suggestion, sometimes the 400 units per Line Inf. can be a little bit too "grand", maybe you should make a version that has a bit less men per unit but still a lot more than vanilla. Maybe even going so far as to changing unit sizes to be faction based instead of just russia being different. This could possibly be a Light version or something.

    Just a couple suggestions, you obviously go ahead and do whatever you like.

    Oh and I almost forgot, it might not be a bad idea to add some ammo to units, just slightly. I tend to find my units running out of ammo faster than vanilla.

    Keep up the good work though !

    *EDIT* P.S. I almost forgot! Is the 2 rank fire going to be added shortly, or is it already in the latest release? The OP is a bit confusing on the matter.

    The update is now up, there are two versions of the mod, one with the firing as is, one with two rank fire. Also, if the battles are too large, you can simply use the Unit Scale option and set the battles to 'large.' This will reduce unit sizes to 300 or so men.

    I am awaiting the next awesome feature to be implemented into the mod.

    As for more 'awesome' updates, I will be 'tinkering' around with AI bonuses in an attempt to make the bonuses less of an obvious buff and more of a 'dynamic.' I will also try playing around with morale to see if I can make it so that units don't take upwards of 50% casualties before breaking. But both of these need to be done very carefully since they are very sensitive values and don't always provide the intended results.

    I have a few minor ideas for a future release:
    - (if possible) adjust the tax system
    - adjust building turns to build, some are just ridiculously long
    - make weaker ships build quicker and stronger ships build slower
    - (if possible) slightly increase starting money because with the amounts of units going around it is kind of hard to get going and starting in the beginning.

    1) Editing the tax system is very doable, I will 'tinker' with this. But how do you mean? Make tax increases more worth the drop in public order?

    2) I definitely agree on this, however, certain buildings should take a bit longer such higher level barracks, colleges, etc.., but some of the more basic one are just way out there. I mean, around ten turns for a supply depot? Aren't supply depots temporary stations for armies on the move?

    3) Yes, why does a steamship take the same time to build as a brig (5 turns)? Brigs, sloops, lower level frigates should be more in the three turn area, but I'll have to test with this. However I don't want to see the AI spending all its cash on navies, which may happen if I do this since the AI seems to replenish its naval losses almost immeidately if it has the cash on hand.

    4) Again, this is possible and actually quite simple. More start cash could make things more 'interesting' quicker. Definitely more starting cash for France though, I still want to see France be tougher.

    Hi,

    I do have all the changes in custom battles (110 range, 400 unit size, 2 rank fire ....)

    but

    not in campaign gameplay...

    Why is that ?

    P.S.:

    Sry, I got it now.... it was the units size right at the beginning which irritates me, its still vanilla size but when I create it will change to huge size e.t.c. Never mind.

    I have unloaded the mod, but when I initiate the game I do not have any sound, have sound if I remove the file sript. The solution that exists in the principal message does not work. If have the units 400 men..........

    Then, when I remove the file script, if there is sound and the units have a size of 400 but shoots the complete unit and not 2 rows.

    As with JaM's mod, if the ranks behind the second line receive an LoS they 'will' fire but only periodically. This more likely to occure if units are within more than half of each other range, or if the unit's formation is 'messy,' such as if they begin firing right after a melee.

    Go to Control Panel/Folder options and make sure that you switch hidden folders to viewable.

    Yes, you can still raise or lower the number of men per unit with the Unit Scale option in graphics options. For instance, lowering Unit Scale to 'Large' will give you about 300 men per unit.

    I don't speak about the number of men per units but the number of units per army.
    With the Vanilla we have 20 units max. Is it possible to have 30 or 40 units for exemple ?
    With the new PFM, there is more possibility ? No ?

    No it's not possible to have more than twenty units per army, this is hard coded in the program. besides any more men and the fiield would be to cramped and unplayible.

    Unfortunately gary is right, the number of units per army is hardcoded, and editing the hardcode is 'illicit' for obvious reasons.

    quick question Thoragoros. were there any graphic or effect changes in the lastest update. i seem to get some choppy animations in combat now. same settings and PC as I was using with the last version which didnt have the choppy animations. tried both the mass fire and the 2 rank versions. no big deal, just thought I would check.

    awesome mod as always! the 2 rank version is actually alot of fun too. not sure which i like better.
