Campaign for FOE does not work

I have recently downloaded FOE and when I go into single palyed is gives the options of create a new campaign and when I click on that it says that I need to select from the list and there is no list. Also costum battle wont play. My computer says that I have a error in line 12 column 1 in foe/data/world/maps/campaign/barbarian_invasion/descrstart.txt. If someone can tell me what that line should be or a possible soloution that be great.

Erm, judging by that error message that you got, you are in the wrong section. This is for techincal issues for NTW. I would post your issue in the thread from which you downloaded the mod from, and in the Total War Era's Tech Help, as that error message suggests something wrong with Barbarian Invasion.

FOE. What is the mod's real name?

I think it's RTR VII FoE (Fate of Empires).

The message 'select an item from the list' means you've not patched your game to RTW 1.5 and RTW BI 1.6. The version numbers of the exe are shown on the top right hand side of the options menu. Check out the numbers and apply the RTW patches as required.

The mod is RTR VII FoE (Fate of Empires) and one more question is Rome total war Gold Edition 1.6? Or does that need to be upgraded to 1.6? And sorry about posting in the wrong section!

It should be 1.6, however, the only way to be sure is to look at the numbers as I previously posted.
