Cant Access Multiplayer

When I try to start a multiplayer game it says error cant connect to steam network, and that steam must be started. The thing is IT IS started otherwise I wouldnt be able to connect to the game in the first place ffs, please help. Cheers Grund.

Did you update your Steam client? It has been an issue. If not, post it in Steam support.

well my friends list isnt even available, it says steam is performing routine maintenance, can anyone else verify this?

Have you tried chaging servers? I doubt they are all down at once.

All Steam's servers overloaded, again, or just the you sre trying to use?

Steam client is updated, but I have no clue how to change servers.

Its not the download region, it makes no difference, I think steam has overloaded because even on the community tab it says Steam is down for maintenence. Hope they fix it soon.

I think it is, I just got the same problem as well :/
