Exactly right, my friend! It is just like not all Americans are brainless, arrogant douchbags like they are so often protrayed. Those americans you speak of are the descendants of British peopleStill not get it?Most Americans are not of English decent, in fact hardly a good number are.
Nope.

Even if they are from Britain, it counts for nothing, it was 300 years ago, tehy are obviously different people now. Just like how you could argue that the English are actually Germans, Celts, Vikings, Normans, Saxons etc.

Meh, enough of hilarious British patriotism and poor history. Let's get back to the subject, guys!
Let's compare the IFVs employed by the different countries, as these vehicles seems to be the next big focus in land warfare as opposed to tanks, due to their ability to transport a squad of infantry and provide them with very capable support and superior mobility...
My favorite in this field just has to be the CV90 family.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
It's going to be interesting to see how they'll do in Afghanistan when they deploy some time next year.

Let me guess, CV90 is used by the Danes......
I don't really know anything about IFV's. I know Britain still uses the Warrior and they are busy upgrading them with new turrets, improved sighting systems and armour, as well as new communication systems. As far as I am aware they have served us well (Although they proved vulnerable to IED's in Iraq) and are tried and tested.
However, I can see this debate turning into more nationalistic dick-waving.

Highly irrelevant. I favored the CV90's well before the Army Material Command decided to purchase them, and tbh I'm not really sure why they haven't decided to employ more than 45...
As for the dick-waving... Read the Title, FFS. At least I'm trying to dig deeper into the subject than OMFGBBQ, SAS iz da Rulez!!.
Okay calm down mate.

We got the Bradley...
Which killed more tanks than the Abrams during the Gulf War, but I think you're looking for wheeled, right?
Well our wheeled IFV for the Army is the Stryker.

I think he was talking about IFV's in general. We don't have a wheeled IFV (Although it seems likely we will be purchasing the Piranha V for our FRES programme)
I was joking- it seems like a great vehicle (although I was serious about this turning into nationalistic dick-waving)Highly irrelevant. No not really. Wheeled IFV's are good for urban fighting, but put them in more difficult terrain and they'll "fail". At least compared to the tracked IFV's... Having both is good though.
Btw, isn't the Stryker just an American version of the MOWAG Piranha III?
I love the Stryker it really is an amzing vehicle.
And on the subject of nationalistic dick waving... guess who invented the first APC?
My country!!!!!!!!!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_IX_tank although not really an IVF.
I also love the name of Britains newest one, the Spartan-Odin. The CVRT-Scimitar is also cool. The army put this video up, of the new military hardware we are due to get, some looks cool, some rather (quad bike). Most of it is focused on giving infantry more firepower and protection.

A Bradley with reactive armor upgrade...
25mm gun, tow missiles, 6 High Speed Infantrymen...
What more can you want?
