    Unfortunately the vanilla NAP:TW doesn't have many regions which modders can assign to the units. There is neither a France nor a England region in the grand campaign.

    I assigned the horses region to several units to make them only recruitable in the capital/major provinces. The horses region is set by vanilla to the following provinces:

    France, England, Moscow_Guberniya, Spain, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg, Hannover, Hungary, Lithuania, Frisia, Little Tatary.

    Installation

    - fully compatible with the official final patch and all DLCs.
    - available in two versions: normal vanilla version / DARTH VADER's DarthMod Napoleon (DMN)
    - can be used with save games and you don't have to start a new campaign
    - can be used together with other mods


    Installation instructions:

    1. download the AUM-NAP vanilla version or the AUM-NAP Darthmod version and unpack the files to a folder


    2. copy the file aum_nap_mod.pack (vanilla version) or DMN_aum_nap_mod.pack (Darthmod version) to your Napoleon data folder:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\napoleon total war\data


    3. create or edit the file user.script.txt in this folder: (there are example files included within the download)

    C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Napoleon\scripts

    You must save the script file in UNICODE.

    Please put the AUM-NAP entry on top of the script file if you use other mods.

    Add this line below if you play the VANILLA version:

    mod aum_nap_mod.pack;

    Add this line below on top of the list if you play the DARTHMOD version:

    mod DMN_aum_nap_mod.pack;

    If you use the DARTHMOD EMPIRE LAUNCHER, then you can edit the script file in the menu.

    It could be that your Windows Explorer doesn't show the file extension like .txt. This can be activated in the "Folder Options" of the Windows Explorer.

    - Go to the settings in your Windows Explorer
    - Go to the "Folder Options" > Tab "View"
    - Scroll down until you see "Hidden Folders and Files"
    - There you can enable "Hidden Folders, Files and Drives"

    If you encounter any problems with the script file and AUM-NAP doesn't load, then you can try the Mod Manager by Mitch:

    4. Language information:

    The UPC-NAP mod is mandatory that the unit names and descriptions show up in the game. Napoleon will crash if you don't use UPC-NAP together with AUM-NAP.

    You can switch your language in the Steam options of Napoleon.

    Recommendations:

    Create a backup of your save games before using AUM-NAP. If you install an unit pack and then play a campaign, the IDs of the custom units stay in the save game. If you remove later an unit pack in your ongoing campaign, then the save game can't be loaded correctly if there are recruited custom units in the armies from you or the AI.

    If the custom battle screen crashes, then please remove all files in these two folders below:

    Crash of the game:

    If your game crashes you could re-download changed "vanilla" files and verify the integrity of the game:

    > Open Steam > click on my games > right-click on Napoleon > left-click on properties > then look for the Local files tab and click on Verify the integrity of the game cache

    There you can re-check the integrity of your Napoleon files. It takes some time, but after updating you have again all proper vanilla files.

    You have to install one UPC-NAP language file into your Napoleon data directory. Please be sure that only one language file is loaded at the same time in your directory. Please delete all older UPC-NAP or other language files from other mods.

    - Napoleon doesn't have a scroll bar in the recruitment queue.

    - There is a "sound issue with wrong unit speeches" if you click on an unit.

    - all mods which add custom units to Napoleon cause loading problems if you play a campaign and then later remove the mod again.

    AUM-NAP is fully save-game compatible and you don't need to start a new campaign. You can continue your campaign. But if you remove AUM-NAP later, then your campaign save-game can't be loaded properly. This problem have all mods which add custom content.

    All factions can build the normal "Merchantman" ship in vanilla. But the "Indiaman" is restricted to Britain, France and the United Provinces in vanilla.

    I made Switzerland playable for me. But I saw, that they only have line infantry, milita, cheveauleger, 6-lb foot artillery, 6-lb horse artillery and dragoons. Could you make some other units playable for switzerland? For instance guard, light infantry etc.

    This would be really nice.

    I do have a question thought, i was wondering if it would be possible to make the dhow (arab merchant ship) recruitable for the ottomans, because currently they can´t recruit anything on their trading ports. I think it is a bug but still i would love to see it fixed if it is possible, thanks in advance.

    Hello Zorphon, you can read the detailed descriptions and stats in the game itself. Just open a trade port and right-click on the ships.

    Hello swiss_warrior, yes the swiss_confederation doesn't have access to much units.

    Unfortunately there is a problem with the appearing textures of all units that are unlocked for other factions than in vanilla. The problem is described above in my first post.

    Hello Bucefalo, thanks for your comment. I added now two merchant ships to them.


    Hello to all AUM-NAP fans,

    I released the 0.2 beta today.

    - adds the "trade_ship_merchantmen" and "trade_ship_dhow" to the Ottomans which didn't have access to merchant ships at all in the campaign.

    Hello demowhc, yes it is possible to unlock vanilla units for other factions. These units have their own stats and fully work in game.

    The big problem is the wrong graphical appearance. They don't appear with their appropriate icon, info card picture and texture in game. All units use the "placeholder" icon and info card. They show up with a generic vanilla texture. The important "unit_stats_land" table isn't accessible and therefore we can't switch the models of the units.

    There seems to be an extensive change in the texture system compared to ETW.
