hi, i've been away from SS for while, mainly becase TATW, but i decided to give it another try...i started a Late Era campaign with England and the first thing that i noticed was that the 2 rebel settlements in Ireland (Galway and Cork) don't have any garrisson...it's that intended??
Another thing, while i used toggle_fow(just in the first turn) to see how things were going...i saw a rebel army (half stack) just outside Riga who has only 3 units in the city and another rebel army (full stack) midway between Riga and Reval (Denmark) just outside a rebel fort with a 2\3 stack garrisoned...so it's that intended too?? doesn't this make the game a bit to harder for TO (maybe not, after all they are just rebels)...
Btw can anyone explain me how i can put garrisons in rebel settlements or if possible to move 2 of those 3 armies to the settlements??
Thanks...

To do this you need to:
- edit descr_strat.txt file, find the settlements, and add units (you'll see the template in descr_strat, with little imagination you can cut and paste existing rebel garrisons to fill those cities, the most important is to respect X,Y coordinates
- restart a new game (this is not save game compatible of course)

How many years per turn was the early campaign until now?
...ceterum autem censeo Carthaginem esse delendam.
I was reading some of the posts above about BGRIV after installing the latest MAR21 patch and Im a bit mixed up, so if someone would be so kind I'd like a bit of guidance?
Ive made a full fresh re-install of everything, the game, kingdoms and SS, plus with RR/RC, patched with the FEB and MAR patches.
Im a big fan of BGR so I think all thats left for me is to install that and Im ready.
Do I just install the Data_BGRIV folder to the Data folder like in the past? Im confused as on page 9 of this thread at 11:58 AM, Byg himself posts a few files. Are these files included in the latest MAR release or should I paste them over my files from the Data_BGRIV after Ive done it?
Cheers.
from the Rozmod
another way to create a garrison in Galway (or Cork) using descr_strat:
settlement
{
level town
region Galway_Province
year_founded 0
population 1000
plan_set default_set
faction_creator england
garrisoned_army
unit Peasant Archers exp 1 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
unit Spear Militia exp 0 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
unit Spear Militia exp 0 armour 0 weapon_lvl 0
building
{
type core_building wooden_pallisade
}
building
{
type barracks town_guard
}
building
{
type hinterland_roads roads
}
}
Cork is Munster_Province btw

Ok my apologyzes, i thought the settlement was empty. I f you do so in an empty settlement it becames yours
@LethaL: check out the carriage returns ? And try to avoid a named character maybe, you can put an unnamed captain (check in descr_strat you'll see many unnamed generals).
