    Default Advice needed! Thanks!

I'm intending to custom build a rig and this was what I came up with:

    MSI Pro-E x58 with Core i7 920
    Kingston PC3-10300/1333 2x2GB DDR3
    Western Digital 500GB 32MB Caviar Black SATA2
    Sapphire Raedon HD5770 1GB Vapor-X GDDR5
    LG GH22 22x DVD Writer
    NZXT M59
    SeaSonic M12II-Modular 520W
    LG 21.5" W2261VP-PF Widescreen 2ms 50000:1 HDMI Full HD
Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit OEM
    Logitech Laser Desktop MK140

So how well can this machine run NTW? Most if not all settings on ultra? Or just medium? Thanks for any tips given.

Depends what res, 1680x1050 i would say high and some options ultra. 1080P high/medium. everything is fine, video card might cause some issues at high res.(think 1080p)

build looks good. although i tend to lean towards gigabyte/asus. have overclocked on both very easily.

bigger psu like 650w would leave u more room for xfire.

dont skimp on the cpu cooler.

2 hard drives in raid is best perf or 2x hdds one for storage and one for os and games. i run games and os off a raptor (300gb) and storage is 500gb. more storage if u a keen downloader.

casewise coolermaster haf 932/922 best bang for buck. just as an afterthought if u went amd quad u might sqeeze out a 5850 and 24inch screen. better those paired in my opinion.

i7 runs ice cold on a stock cooler. IF you u r not going to oc it.

1 WD black is the best way to go instead of raid. Raid Stripping is fine unless one of your hard drives in the RAID fails then you lose all your data.

agreed although if u know what u are doing and buy a good case amd can save u some money. although i have stuck to intel so far...

have never done raid myself but it isnt so hard to do...some people like it for faster hdds. i always run 2 hdds and have the fastest (i.e raptor) for os and games. saying that raptors dont make a huge diff 32mb 7200rpm western didital 500gb at around £50 plus are perfect.

if u need help with fans n coolers give me a shout. so far have done very well with my cpus not so well with cooling my gpus...water-cooling beckons. must resist....ahh my precious...

oh and if u want a second opinion come here. but please least total budget and what u need with that i.e screen..

So what's a better build (I need everything that is necessary for a desktop cause I am running a lappy right now and have none reusable parts)? I have a budget of around Singapore$2500, not sure how mucht that is in USD though. On a side note, I have entirely no idea what you guys said above cause I'm a nud when it comes to such stuff. My friend came up with that build for me and it costs around Singapore$2005.
