Vienna would fall, even when he would have arrived few hours later!
Won't matter. They would have recapture the city anyhow. The Turks had no energy to retain it. long time on such short notice.
The city would wait one day more?
Are you joking? Austria would fall! Bohemia would join Ottomans against Austria and Upper Hungary already was Ottoman allies! (Shorter: Protestants) There was no chance to regain it!
Polish King also said:''Today or Never!'' He knew that it would be impossible to recapture it! And you should know that Ottomans would give Vienna to Upper Hungary! (Their new vassal) after Vienna Ottomans wanted Krakow!
Glory to Ottoman Empire!!!
But after more than one day more!!
No it wouldn't!! Anti-ottoman sentiment in Bohemia was strong! Forced to choose between Ottoman invader and Austrian rule Bohemia would most probably choose the former!!Bohemia would join Ottomans against Austria
Not really! Which part of Hungary are you talking about!! Habsburg?!!!and Upper Hungary already was Ottoman allies!
Why do you assume that protestants would automatically become Ottoman allies!!!!!(Shorter: Protestants)
As history proved, there was and it was used!!!!There was no chance to regain it!
Yes he said!! But it cannot be understood literally!!! And it could be recaptured indeed!!Polish King also said:''Today or Never!'' He knew that it would be impossible to recapture it!
But they had to defeat Austria first!! Which they couldn't succeed at!!!!!!!!!!And you should know that Ottomans would give Vienna to Upper Hungary! (Their new vassal) after Vienna Ottomans wanted Krakow!
Death to Ottoman invaders!!!!!!!Glory to Ottoman Empire!!!
I like the emotional way you post lol
1. ?
2. It choosed Ottoman side and history has proved it.
3. Hapsburg side, they were anti-Hapsburgs.
4. Because they had one enemy: Hapsburgs, Catholics. Leopold I wanted to convert all protestants to Catholics within his nation!
5. There was no chance!
6. No it couldn't!
7. Austria had no chance against Ottoman Empire, Hapsburgs only won Battle of Vienna because of P-L! If they had alone there was no chance to win!
8. Racist...
The whole face of the world would be completely different.
Na, Ottoman already had trouble to maintain its logistic in Austria, hence a capture of Vienna would just increased the logistical difficulty. Polish force might able to explore this grave weakness and drived Ottoman back home again.
Now, if Ottoman captured the city in First Siege then something might be different (and the city was nearly captured, only thanks to the brave stand of Landsknechts that prevented the final break in).
Bohemia never joined with the Ottomans.
No they weren't they had themselves chosen the Habsburgs as rulers on Hungary in 1526

Protestants may have been unhappy with his policies, but they probably prefer his rule to that of the muslim Ottomans
Source please?
Source please? You can't prove they had no chance.
How about no. You haven't proved anything and cannot prove that Austria was doomed without the Polish-Lithauanian army.
lol.....
Maybe Vienna would be captured. Maybe not. In either case, Ottomans would get bored after rotting around while being unable to do anything because of a of soldiers amassing to destroy them, then they would start retreating and Vienna would be diminished but back in Austrian hands. In the end, you can't just send a huge army somewhere and concentrate it into a city in the early modern age if you expect it to accomplish anything. History has proven that time and time again, I can give examples.
true here. the ottomans marched well out of their territory to get to vienna. they may have been able to hold the city but the land surrounding it wouldnt have been controllable especially with the amount of foreign troops from their defeated protectorates who really didnt like their ottoman overlords
Louis XIV would be happy to hear that Vienna had fallen.
I suspect Vienna could have held out for a few more days and if it did Fall then it could have been taken back rather easiely (most of the defencie works were destroyed by the Ottoman mines).
I don't remember that Bohemia had joined with the Ottomans.
You mean anti-Habsburgs? Yes of course, but during the Ottoman Invasions the local peoples considered the Turks as enemy number one - they were willing to side with anyone to fight agains them.
The only Hungarian nobles to side with the Turks were in Transylvania, which was the Vassal/Ally of the Ottomans but a very doubtfull one - they always tried to diobey the Ottomans. Upper-Hungary had elected a Habsburg as there King - they always stayed enemies of the invaders.
Oh and Hungary did rebel against the Habsburgs, but only after the Ottomans were driven out of the Country.
The Ottoman troops were already on the edge of thre effective range - they were hardly able to suplly there army near Vienna, not to mention to being able to hold it.
The problem is that the Habsburgs were not just lords of Austria, but had many other holdings. Besides if Hungary and the other Kingdoms in the Balkan-Peninsula were able to hold back the Ottomans for several centuries then why would Austria and the Holy Roman Empire not be able to do the same?
If he would have written "Death to the the Turkish Invaders" then you might be right - but he didn't write that.
By the way: Down with the Invaders!
