If anyone's interested, I can upload a mod I made for my own purposes. It's a very simple model switch, using the mode of the grenadiers a cheval for Napoleon's bodyguard. It seemed appropriate and accurate.

OK boy I will try it and let you know about it

Actually Napoléon's bodyguard would be composed of a squad of the chasseurs à cheval de la garde.
But i guess your mod will do it (anyway, the in game unit could represent aide de camps and could work too).
Screenie of it in action? Sounds interesting...
Still playing Napoleon:TW
Still working on getting a pack uploaded, but here's a screenshot.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Sorry but I can not see the screenshot its a white box with a red x... Ok now I can see the picture thanks..

Napoleon's famous servant and bodyguard was the Mameluke Roustam. Cool if you could mod a Mameluke as well
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roustam_Raza
Now that I think of it, I could adjust this to make the "musician" officer a Mameluke. That way, there would only be one--and he would be alongside Napoleon at all times.
Good idea , but the escort of Napoleon was an escadron of Chasseurs à cheval de la Garde ,not grenadiers, i presume you already know that ...I don't know yet if these troops are in the game ,since i don't have received yet my copy of NTW !
Yes, I was informed. Unfortunately, the only chasseurs a cheval in the game aren't from the Guard, so their uniforms look rather different. The grenadiers might have to do for now--they're still an improvement over the generic guards.
Are you sure that the chasseurs à cheval de la Garde are not ingame? maybe they need a special building to recruit ?
That's pretty cool. Do you have a screenshot with the Mameluke officer as well?
Bard07´s MOD have some lovely chasseurs à cheval de la Garde.
Maybe you could ask for permission to use them somehow
Higgings.
One squadron of the "chasseurs à cheval de la garde" was the emperor's bodyguard unit. They followed him every where.
"Chasseurs à cheval de la garde" are in game, and can be downloaded with the imperial guard pack DLC. The units used by bart07, though, are the most accurate ones when it comes to units of the french imperial guard.

Actually, this is an often heard mistake. Napoleon was guarded by just a platoon of chasseurs a cheval (approximately 22 men). These would be enough to protect against an assasination or a quick, opportunistic cavalry rush. To provide more protection (especially against a major cavalry charge), each guard regiment (grenadiers, dragoons, chasseurs and both lancers) would provide 1 squadron. This mixed "regiment" followed the emperor's party at a short distance.
There is only one step from the sublime to the ridiculous ~ Napoleon
The body guards of the emperor were "chasseurs à cheval de la garde."
Then, apart from that they were the "duty squadrons". As an example, In 1815 during the "waterloo" campaign the duty squadrons were composed by 1 squadron of each of the following regiments :
- chasseurs à cheval
- grenadiers à cheval
- dragons de l'impératrice
- lanciers rouges.
And last but not least, there was also a squadron of "gendarmes d'élite".
Still I think "chasseurs à cheval" of the imperial guard would be the ideal unit to replace the current general body guards we have in game.

So are we actually going to see this mod then??
Since the chasseurs à cheval de la garde are in the game now from the free dlc, could this be done now using them instead?
