MP connection problems still exist.

Well, it appears those MP random connection problems still exist.

Like my buddy who can only join a game by chance, most of the time he gets "failed to connect to host: Game is full" or "could not connect to host" yet, the game is obviously not full... Same problem back in ETW, ETW used to work fine then one day it stopped with these problems for example without any pc change. A couple of times we do get games that randomly work.

Reading other forums, a lot of players have this problem and CA/SEGA/Steam has done next to nothing to fix it.

Anyone have any fixes?

Several people have already been playing MP, so I dont know.

It for sure does not happen to everyone, but it happens to quite a few people. Which sucks because it makes the small mp population... smaller!

theyve fixed 90% of ETW and still people criticize them. whod be a game dev?

What? Fixed 90% of ETW singleplayer u had to mention! But they did nothing for Multiplayer... Weve played tourney matches 3 monthes ago and had 3 CDTS in all 3 matches... Also they havnt made any affort to fix Connection issues. Lot of people have "Cannt connect to host" or "Host doesnt respond" issues!

i know
im one of the "lack of MP fixes" supporters too
but they have a bigger market for SP so u can understand them giving more time to that. lets hope they fix the connections in a later patch

ya i'm getting the same exact desync errors I got in the Empire Total War MP beta campaign.

yeah it is true that you get about the same number of connection errors, there are about 4 different possible messages, they're all the same messages from ETW.

My friend and I couldn't join each other's games. We get the message "Failed to Join, Game is Full" when trying to join one another's MP campaign.

My router is DMZ'd so ports aren't a problem...we could join each other fine in ETW.

My buddy and I have this EXACT same problem and error message. So i decided to make the game a 2v2, then the message we get says :"Could not connect to host"

This is a total hunk of BS.

I solved our problem. If you're using the new steam beta UI, revert to the old version. STEAM is causing the bug, not Napoleon

Edit: The Steam UI causes the "game is full" for 1v1 games.

Not all these problems are steam or Napoleon's fault, if you've added the other players to your IP block list then you can't connect to them

I'm not saying that you have, or that you know their IP, but it proves that there are three (or four) parties at fault here, and it could be any one of them failing the game. Steam, Napoleon TW, yourself/your *crappy* router/your 56k dial up/etc, or your ISP which has issues with p2p connection.
