correct sir, my apologies Mr. Abbews, I uploaded the wrong file. After I had completed the lesson, the results looked a bit bland to my eyes. I explored some of the features of Photoshop and came up with the picture you saw above. It is simply a duplicate of the same layer but with a different gaussian blur setting and on overlay. Would you like me to upload the other one good sir?

Very good job sir. Hair is the biggest pain in the backside. You did good only thing I see is directly under the arm and thumb.

There are a couple spots that I may redo but I have to go get the kids from School and buy rotors and pads.
Hmm, as you can see the edges are really choppy mate. If you could fix that up it would be great ( copy the layer, make a gaussianblur on the original and then softly erase with a soft brush on the copy layer)

Good render, altough the outcome must be transparent. I will PM you with further instructions.

For those of you who have a trouble getting a transparent end result, check the beginning of the Pen Tool part.

I probably messed up again somewhere, I'm trying to render this pic:

    original

but the problem is that I do the unlocking thing ( that was why I couldn't do the thing right in the first try) in this one I have a difficult erasing the background, and when I'm done the layer that I ''create'' is the background not the render itself, that's ok but when I save the file is 5mb

well the image may not be good enough since the other plane would detach itself from the environment. maybe another pics perhaps?

    here are some candidates

I'm sorry but for now this will not pass, it's too choppy and there is several parts that stick out. This is something that should be done with precision, and not to be done in a rush. Remember to zoom in alot and gently make your way around the render.

Here is another try, my gf thought me what I was doing wrong... its easier to just delete when you invert the selection than trying to use the brush. in the third pic I rendered the fighter in a pic of earth with macross in it.

    original

    render

    rather heavy be warned

Good cut, altough it seems you have applied the gaussianblur on the wrong layer. You should not apply it to the copy, but the original. I'm gone now for a week, will try to give feedback and such from my phone but can't promise anything, Subuatai is your man now.
