Thread: Vote NO banners for Bill VIII

  1. #1

Default Vote NO banners for Bill VIII

As I mentioned earlier, I thought we'd liven up some of the more hotly contested legislative measures with a few graphical flourishes

I only cobbled these together with MSPaint, so I strongly encourage those of you with actual skills in this area to have a crack at it yourself and post more NO (or even YES) banners in this thread.

Please all feel free to use in signatures or just dotted around the vote, anywhere you like really

Is this what the curia is becoming.... how realistic, yet sad.
Well, if I, Belisarius, the Black Prince, and you all agree on something, I really don't think there can be any further discussion.

Good job Richard, I want to put one in my signature but I don't know how.

Let me guess; save the picture in my computer, poste it in ImageShack, and then put the address I get from ImageShack on my signature...?

Perhaps I should create a thread telling people how to vote as well.... it's essentially what this is.

No its not, its a propaganda thread. Its suggesting how people should vote, and advertising a "No" vote. btw, why is there no birth control based banner?

Not a bad idea, actually. Even though I'm for retaining the limit at 6, I agree this thread is akin to propaganda.

I'm not great at graphic art, and so far have managed to come up with no amusing/catchy lines but I suppose it's better than nothing (maybe) :

Actually, it's even easier than that. Just quote my post and copy the relevant coding out beginning from the [URL] - that'll mean that the picture is also a link to the vote.

Duhhhh... what do you think they're going to do? Do people just obey signature banners without any kind of intervening mental process? If so, I'm making a "FOR HAPPINESS SEND ME MONEY" one!

As for those of you who say it's propaganda, well, I would only quibble in saying that it's rather a lofty title. I would say it was more like advertising. I know you guys get a lot of verbose dissemination from me in the Prothalamos, so I'm of Sulla's and Jacobus' opinion - it's nice to have a bit of fun as well.

BTW, in terms of drawing civitates' attention to the vote (which I think we'd all agreed has to happen for the Curia to maintain its credibility) I'm happy to say that as of at this moment Bill VIII has had 48 votes in 3 days, whereas Bill VII has had 47 votes in 10 days (Bills VI and V (Act of Law) received 51 and 37 votes respectively).
