Scripts are sets of commands that are executed dynamically during the game, depending on sets of conditions which are checked when certain events occur. There are two types of scripts, campaign-scripts and background scripts.
A campaign-script fires up when you start a campaign, does some stuff, and then it is terminated just before the player starts playing. (It is possible that it is not terminated then, but then saving/loading is impossible). This type of script is used in NI, as it's just fine.
A background script is the script that most mods use. It is activated by the player after the campaign starts (though there is a way to make it activate automatically), and it keeps running while the campaign runs. It offers a great deal of advantages, because it's way more dynamic and flexible that the campaign-script, but it slows down the game (a lot some times), can cause errorless CTDs for no apparent reason, and if the player forgets to load it, then the campaign gets screwed up (plus, if you want to load a different campaign, you have to exit RTW completely and start it again. So, we don't use this kind of scripts.
thanks for reply,i even understood most of it!
