Ok its by sea but isn't it a bug/exploit?

you need ships along the coast /many/ spaced apart little tighter than 1 ships max travel distance. you load your troops on a ship and travel towars the next ship probably your armys move points will be used up but not the ships, you should go a little past your second ship and have a little move points left. have the empty ship join your flotilla then have the first ship leave . red circle. now select your ship with the army and press select all (Ctrl-A for me). voila one full turn movement points left! same with the 3rd 4th and so on (since you can't join admirals it works best for ships without command stars) untill you get to spain or wherever.
Hrm...that sounds like an exploit =P
not just by the sea, you can move your army twice as far by having them join cavalry/infantry/general some distance away. The same thing move army untill nearly all move points are used up and have it join the other army. cavalry/infantry/general with full move points (enough with one) should show as the first unit in the stack Now move the army the remainder of its move points and at the same time press select all Ctrl-A. when the army comes to stop you have a new green border in which to move . it works only once per army though... your original army shouldn't have a general in it.

Sounds cool, I'll try it. Btw, Stalin, your avator fits very well with your nickname! ROFLcopter.
I've been wondering about that for a while. It may be considered an exploit, but I think its pretty ridiculous that in game time it can take the equivolent of several years to do it by one boat. even in ancient times, it wouldn't have taken more than a few months to make the voyage by sea.

the thing is that moving ur legions from ship to ship in those days are practically impossible

So U can do a MTW move across the world?!

I have never heard of this, sounds like an exploit.
And btw Maethius, what do you mean with do a MTW and move across the world?

@Wubbs77,
I agree with your statement on the length of time needed for navies to travel in game. I wonder if any mods have looked into extending the movement points of ships. I think that they should be greatly improved. I would assume that it did not take more than 3 or 4 months to travel from Egypt to Italy.
Yeah it's just an exploit can be done and the ships system needs to be looked at though. True it is better now than in MTW
3 or 4 months? Never! Week or maybe two, 1 month max, but not 3... it is ridiculous!
I see no need for such a method of transportation, I don't like it. If I had so much land I would be able to make enough armies to guard all my land. It is a cool method though, I might try it to see if it works.
I am shocked and horrified that people could even dream of using such an exploit
exits stage left to build up a ship-teleport network
Oh, and time from Eygpt to Italy was measured in weeks, they used to transport beasts for the various arenas that way.

Interesting exploitation! I must try it...now!
I did post about it at the .com about 6 months ago but all I got was "working as intended"...
