Patch 1.3 has been released for Norman Invasion, in the form of an upgrading patch (only for those with versions 1.0-1.2), as well as a full build for those who don't have NI. It addresses all issues with 1.2 we are aware of and includes several tweaks and improvements, including an update of the battle-map environments from RS 1.6, done by Éorl.
The full list of changes is this:
- Changed Mercia's earldom capital to Staefford in ancillary triggers
- Fixed wrong triggers for Northumberland and Gleawceaster marcher lordships
- Changed text description of natural fortresses' gates
- Fixed triggers for Overlord traits for Cent and Morgannwg
- Removed roman reference in norman stone walls text
- Added wooden walls to Din Eideann and Dun Tuilm at campaign start
- Tweaked mount masses
- Fixed alms-giving pip icon
- Several models had shield positions tweaked, and officer weapons tweaked to not disappear when unit is out of ammo - courtesy of Athenogoras
- Redone unit stats with improved formulas
- Campaign-script tweaked to make Normans more likely to expand as AI
- Added custom-battle locations
- RS environments have been updated, many thanks to Éorl for implementing them
You can get the download link for the patch here.
It is, like most patches, NOT save-game compatible, so you will need to start a new campaign.
Feedback and comments are more than welcome.
