No, its supposed to show how alone each soldier felt in the battle, where everyone was just an expendable commodity. The reason he's turned around is that he wants to hide his shame. He's crying cause he's crying cause he's crying. That explain it?

The most I like is the second picture, although the other ones a very nice, too. The first one I like less, but it is maybe because I don't like too much the skin.
