But in all honesty, with modding threatening CA's ability to sell us the "Elite units of Ulan Bator" and the like for 5 bucks a piece, when Darth or any other modder could probably make better units for free in 30 minutes.. well.. dont hold your breath for things to get less restrictive :/

The answer to that is simple, but probably utterly futile due to the hordes of casual gamers.. and that is boycotting DLC.

I'm from The Guild, whichitself I am new to, though I've been playing TW since Medieval, and own the entire series except Napoleon, which I didn't buy because Empire barely runs on my computer and I didn't know how much Napoleon had been optimized.

I don't play many mods, since most of the mods I've played have been for Rome, the hardest TW game by leaps and bounds, and most of the mods make the game harder, which sucks as even vanilla Rome is the only TW game where I can't complete a campaign, but I digress.

Please release the aforementioned modding tools with due urgency and expediency. The modding community has made this series strong, and as the new Operation Flashpoint proved; when your base is the modding community and you turn your back on them, your game suffers.

Also, please fix the AI in all your games to the best of your ability, as I feel the weak AI is why Rome feels it must generate challenge by making factions hostile to the player and having such a stiff, unrelenting economic model.

    Thanks,

Frankly CA and sega should realize that their products really do not stand on their own. Furthermore a percentage (possible a large number of past tw series BUYERS) only buy the things with the expectation that they will be modded. A position that attempts to inhibit modding is actually suicide. Conversely the easier that they make it the more likely people will continue. I regretted buying etw until it was heavily modded by Darth and Hip and am reluctant to buy future products unless they can be easily and directly cleaned up by being modded.
