Default An Annoying Flicker when using TROM

    Hi all,

this is my first time on here posting but ive been using TROM for a while now, but i cant seam to get rid of the flickering of unit cards, the prestige scroll, and when you click to get more info on buildings or units. Its like other images pop up, e.g. when your looking at the barracks scroll, a picture of a cavalry unit will keep flickering up where the picture of the barracks should be! (i'll try and get a picture up if i can soon)

I was just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem or if theres something real simple that i can do to fix it. Thanks in advance!

    P.S.
    Im running:
    Windows XP
    AMD Athlon 64 x2
    2x1GB RAM
    512MB nVidia GeForce 9800GT
    1360x768 res

Nope, not related to TROM I don't think. I'd try doing a game verification first to make sure your ETW is not corrupted in some way, then reinstall TROM. I don't get any flickers here and am only running straight vanilla with TROM over the top (ie, no other mods).

That shouldn't be TROM, no. Try altering your graphics settings, and checking your graphics card's settings as well - try and set all features of the card to application-controlled, as that often causes problems with ETW.

On my pc (ATI Radeon 4870 graphics card), flickering is caused by "anisotropic filtering" and "dynamic anti-aliasing". You need to set these features to "application controlled".
