This thread serves as a list of links to modification resources for Dragon Age, as well as recommended modifications.

Important Sites

Dragon Age Nexus

Offshoot of the popular nexus sites for the Elder Scrolls series, the Dragon Age Nexus is your one-stop shop for mods. Their interface is easy to use and their repository boasts over 500 mods. Make sure to register so you can use the powerful file tracking mechanism(and access adult content if that's your thing).

BioWare Social Network - Projects

The social site is maintained by BioWare. It has been supplanted for the most part by the Nexus, but it's still the only place you can find some mods and the place you're sure to get responses from official BioWare reps on the forums.

Beyond Ferelden

A blog maintained by jwvanderbeck, creator of the popular DAModder tool and a number of other mods for Dragon Age. He has entries explaining various aspects of modding among other things.

DA Mods

Another fan maintained site that hosts a few mods and boasts a more active forum than the nexus.

Mod Recommendations

Update 3/15: Dragon Age recently released a 1.03 update. Most mods are not yet compatible with this new patch. If you have installed it, you'll just have to wait for some that change things of substance. If you haven't, you may wish to wait until mods produce compatibility patches.

Disclaimer #2: Dragon Age has a rating of 'M'. As such, some mods may have ancillary content unsuitable for audiences not in that age group. There are no links provided here to mods with express sexual content, but certain characters within the Dragon Age game are nude(ie. Desire Demon), so keep that in mind if looking at certain mods image sections. This should be a non-issue since anyone who cares about these mods will own the game, but figured I'd mention it anyways.

Must Have

These mods or tools are basic for enjoying a modification experience and not guided by personal preference, so they are listed as must have.

DAModder

This tool replaces the DAUpdater utility packaged with the game for mod managing. If you plan on downloading any mods at all you should first download this tool, because it helps you keep track of mods you have installed and easily uninstall them, among other useful features. The tool is still in active development, so make sure to post bugs you have or feature requests here. Alternatively, if you don't like DAModder, you can try DAO-ModManager.

Character Generator
