The market for chocolate fireguards was melting away, 5 men each ran a company making thousands each day. There was only room for one. How would they decide who remained in business, allow market forces to decide? Merge some of the companies together to form a global chocolate fireguard conglomerate? What quaint ideas! No, they would settle this the old fashioned way, by hiring a hitman. Each business man would bid for the hitman to kill another each night, only the highest bid would be acted upon. However, the hitman would keep all the money bid, making it a difficult decision how much to bid now and how much to keep for later rounds. It could even be a good strategy not to bid early and hope you don't get hit. If nobody bid in any one round though the hitman would get angry and kill them all....

Suppose I should give a full run down of the rules for the game.

5 players
Each player starts with $50 000
Each phase (no night phases only day, write up is night) players send me a bid for the hitmans services that night and who they want him to kill. ALL money is taken and highest bid acted upon. All bids are treated as separate, eg if player A and player B both bid 500 to kill player C, and player C bids 501 to kill player A, player A will be killed.
No bids means the hitman kills everybody and we have a lame anti-climactic defeat for all.
That's pretty much it.

I'll give it another 24 hours for one more player, if nobody joins there's not really much point playing it. Four player = three rounds, not a great game. I think five is pretty much the minimum for a worthwhile game.

Disgruntled Goat of Disgusting Green Chocolate Fireguards, Warman of Warmelt Chocolate Fireguards, sithlord of Imperial Chocolate Fireguards, Double A of AA Chocolate Fireguards and Mercury of Thermal Chocolate Fireguards met to agree on the terms of the bidding. The rules were duly agreed upon and each returned home to ponder how to proceed with the game.

This will be allowed in game, note however that the write ups will not mention how much the highest bid was or who made it. Also, feel free to ask for a specific method of killing with your bid.

Since no one has immediately taken up my offer this is what I am going to offer.

1) I agree not to bid for your death.
2) You send me money which I then use to supplement my own cash against another player. This way it is guaranteed to be the highest bid.

Double A sat in his big comfy armchair thinking how clever he had been, he only bid $10 this round leaving him with $49 990 to bid for the next three rounds. The fool who won this round would probably have almost nothing left, two would have lost loads for no gain and one would be dead. He was so clever, those idiots didn't stand a chance.

He heard a knock at the door, news so quickly? He opened the door to find a package left for him. Acme battery powered Jetpack was written on the label. "Cool," he thought, "when did I order this?"



Opening the box he found it came ready assembled and just needed batteries. A note came with the box, insert 4 AAA batteries to use.

"Awesome!" he thought and ran to the kitchen to get the batteries, he put them in the opening and put the jetpack on. There was a strange noise, like something was loose inside. He ignored it, eager to try it his new toy.

Double A lived in the penthouse of a huge apartment block, on the thirtieth floor.He ran to his window and jumped out, pressing the ignition button on the jetpack. Nothing. He pressed it again. Nothing. Suddenly the reason for the rattling dawned on him, and he realised he had been chosen for assasination that day.

"Noooo!!" he screamed as he fell thirty floors. "I needed AAs!!!"
