    Guards:

    -Gardes Francaises :
    - an early Gardes Française model and texture already exist (used in European War)
    - a later model could be interesting (1740 or 1772 uniforms, I'll post pictures later, if I have time)

    -Mousquetaires de la garde :
    - definitely need a good model and texture. They shouldn't be used as guard unit for general.
    - the vanilla "Garde du Corps" model could be a good ersatz

    -Chevaux-légers de la garde :
    - same uniform as Gendarme de la Garde, the Gendarmerie de France model from Danova could be a good basis.

    Line infantry:

    Royal Roussillon

    Royal italien

    A german regiment :
    - you could use a good mid-XVIII century model from Danova
    - maybe a later uniform model (1772) could be interesting

    Scottish Infnatry
    - the Royal-Ecossais need to use an another model (that of Danova for O'Gilvy is very good) and skin

    Calvary:

-add hussars into the game for france :
    - the new hussars model from Danova is absolutely awesome and perfect (Hussards de Bercheny). A very good basis for skinners.

    -dragoons :
    - an early era uniform (1700 to 1762) is used in TROM but need to be reskinned to more historical uniforms colors. A better model could done, it'll be a mix between Danona Swiss Guard body and TROM french dragoon hat.
    - a later era uniform and model will be interesting (post-1763), the typical french dragoon hat was replaced by a copper helmet. Maybe the light-dragoon model used in TROM could be a basis.

    - maybe a late era "chasseurs à pied" regiment ?

It'll also be good to find a better model and texture for french "chasseurs à cheval" and "chevaux-légers" (after 1763)
But it need to create a new model.
I'll try to do this using Milkshape, part of existing model and maybe some modification.
But it'll not be possible before the next week.

Problems with post-revolution units are :
    - what era should we choose :
    - early french revolution era : 1791 - 1795
    - later era : 1795 - 1799
    - no good models :
    - for line infantry and light infantry
    - for mounted artillery

I'm sorry, but I've lose most of the research I've done about french unit.
As I'm not at home, I've worked with an usb key which died this morning...
So, I must download the books I use for (Histoire de l'Infanterie Française - volume 1 à 8 + planches; Histoire de la cavalerie française - volume 1 à 3)

Wangrin, do you happen to have a link to a website which has those French Uniform plates?
