Are minor factions playlable in the custom battle?

This is an unusual sort of question... It's gonna look good (the mod's UI has been mostly redone from scratch), but I think we're gonna keep it under wraps for now.

Will there will be even more new hostrical battles or not?

Historical battles are not easy to create. My experience with battle scripting is very limited, but I have the feeling that some of the codes are broken and are simply ignored by the engine. Thus the scripting is difficult, because you cannot chose the easiest option, but you have to work your way around the broken codes.

Most mods that have a roman timeframe can simply use the vanilla battles and replace the units. FATW has done this, too, but this ofc is not really an ideal solution, because those battles are made up and therefore non-canon.


There are a few battles that might be worth a shot, I guess if anyone is willing to create a working HB, the team would gladly include them in the mod.

Joking aside, current book- like main menu design was genius and immersive (turning the pages feel when you select campaign) and I personally would like to see something similar in the DoM. Certainly much better than old boring RTW menu style.

I'm afraid we've done away with the book-page style, though the 'book theme' has remained.

Ah, well you know what you are doing and it may turn as a nice surprise. I guess that it will not return to old RTW style, but will be different in some aspects, and improved in comparison to TNS.

Are there new units in dunland?

Not regular units, but Dunland has an alternative cultic roster (though not complete, like Adunabar).

The cultic roster includes units of all classes.

When i play fourth age total war custom battles i put in heavy rain and start the custom battle i dont see the heavy rain.

Is the Dominion of Men mod still in development?
Or has it faded into obscurity?

It's been quite a long time, and I'm starting to wonder if it will ever come into existence or if the devs have moved on to other projects?

Still in development, and it'll take still some months according to the devs

DoM hasn't faded into anything; and it takes time because we are 2.5 unpaid people with other real-life commitments and this is a major overhaul of pretty much everything in the vanilla game. We know that fans want the mod to be released yesterday, but quality takes time and we are pretty determined to deliver quality.
