that is correct. You can handle the defence of Vaticanus Mons as you like. Use it as natural defence installation - or retreat your troops to the normal city. That is up to you.

    @all
many many thanks for the kind and motivating statements!
And please remember that our Rome isn't finished yet. As mentioned in the first post: several city districts are still untouched.

that's astonishing. it only cements my contention that sega just does the slap-dash, get-it-on-the-shelves deal, and you modders do the real work. you all should be really proud! beautiful work, really.

    But of course it's included.
However, not in this preview which shows Rome.

    Ok thanks for anwsering guys

My eagerness to play this Mod is growing by the day, especially cause im reading ''Count Bellisarius'' at the moment and thats providing deeper insights in the Justinian era!

Ive allways been a Rome addict whole my life(im 43),but i have to admit that my interests were mainly focussed on the WRE!

I knew about the Nika riots and Justinian expanding to the west again, but only now im getting really ''in'' it for the first time, and this Mod is therefore very much awaited by me!

Keep up the great works and with kind regards!!

Just randomly coming along here, now found this ... that entirely exceeds my expectations of what i thought you'll come up with along your former preview reports.
It's a pleasure to see that RTW-BI modding is still applied with passion, and then in such a new quality

Edit: I remember now, back in 2005, as we (the TFT team) developed the first FRRE concepts, that we talked about but rather dreamed only to have certain settlements historically recreated ... now you are doing that. Simply fantastic!

Wow. Many thanx DV for the kind words!!
We are glad to hear that you like this kind of work. Very positive feedback for the team.
Also a big "thank you" to all the other commentators!

    Just some additional infos
We are planning more customized cities. Thebes and Alexandria are 95% finished (cosmetic items are open), London is nearly finished (perhaps 70% done), the 3D reconstruction city layout of Antiochia and Jerusalem is prepared.
Rome - which is shown in this preview - is perhaps done by 60%.
Soissons, Paris, Ravenna and Carthage are in planning - the preparations are accomplished.
Furthermore we'll offer a gallo-roman city layout for the minor cities in gaul and for the coastal-regions in spain. It is a summarized layout, simply because we can't make a customized plan for all cities (also due to missing reconstructions). But even this new plan simulates the real circumstances.
Furthermore a summarized plan will be delivered for the Roman cities in Africa, Syria, Britannia and Asia Minor. The intention is that you feel the real enviroment of that area - independently which faction is actually ruling the city.
And our Wundai underlines all that cities with some new 3D buildings. But the biggest surpise is coming soon (perhaps a teaser first?!) concerning Constantinople.
