I think most players take the end to be 66BC JaN. I've never heard of the capital being moved to there though?
The end may not be 66 BC, there's something I need to test first to see if it will work.

ah yeah that the hard-coded limit right? hmm you sure, i'm pretty sure he did, but i'll double check,
edit: okay majorfor some reason when i thought of the roman capital i confused the movement of the capital by Constantine I, bc of his name Caesar Flavius Valerius Aurelius Constantinus Augustus....
I have this odd habit of referring to him as Augutus as well
and with that my own question are void since he moved the capital long after out time frame, my bad![]()

Irrelevant really because moving a capital is different to having two capitals![]()

Yes exactly, the information as well as the solution (implemented in RS) is Here but if you take a look at the discussion you'll see that in the end the CTD is acceptable, personally who here plays until 66BC?
i would of conquered the map a couple times over by then, its 428 turns without the 4tpy script

IMO it'd be nice to have the option, but very few players would. I think this has come up before in this forum (if not the early pages of the thread). It's something I've been meaning to experiment with on my copy of ExRM but haven't gotten around to yet.

Also, would it be possible to have the mercenary pools change after 100 years? The world changes, so it would be realistic to have different mercenaries to recruit. Maybe even a dynamic system, based on which faction is powerful? For instance, Rome would be able to recruit (eventually) horse archers in the middle east? or Batavian cavalry in the Rhenus area?
That would be nice, but it's completely impossible in this engine. I think M2TW allows it, though.

ack! well thanks for the speedy reply anyway, I don't code and I hardly know what is or isn't possible. but I enjoy it immensely to come up with ideas.
The only thing that does change with mercs are those associated with the Marian reforms. Since the reforms typically occur a long time before they should it wouldn't really be appropriate to add stuff to it.
