Are you running it through the .bat file located in the teutonic folder? I'm not sure if this would help, but you could try.

Ugh!!! Frustrated! I downloaded the your torrent (the full version), and I extracted the whole thing (there was only a folder called "teutonic" in it) in the mods folder. I made sure to rename the old teutonic folder too. But when I launch it (through Steam) everything that I can see is in Russian (the quotes at the bottom of the loading screen). And on the main menu each option doesn't have words (like Campaign, Multiplayer, options, or exit). So I clicked around on the options and it crashed and had an error box with no text.


I'll also note that I use Windows 7, I have also fully disabled UAC.

Please help, any help is much appreciated.

im having the exact same problem and yes i have the translation files they just dont seem to be working.

Have you made sure that you ran the game through the bat file in your teutonic folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\teutonic)?

Have not got any crashes except for one time on a custom battle, I had as many bright wizards as possible vs as many black orcs as possible! lol

Rename your teutonic folder to something else like "teutonic_original" (without quotes). Then extract the "teutonic" folder to your "mods" folder.

And yes, the 1.3 translation is in the torrent, but it is Grand Admiral Thrawn's translation. If you would like the one by Beregond, look here

And also remember to run the game through the bat file in your teutonic folder.

Ok so as far as I know, I've downloaded the 1.03 version, in four separate parts. I ran the setup in part one and it all installed ok in C:/Program Files/Sega/Medieval II/mods/teutonic but it overwrote files I think... After the setup was complete I attempted to run the 3 other files but was met with this error repeatedly:



Ok so I couldn't go any further with that. So I also downloaded and applied the _1_03 and _1_031_ patches in that order. Then I applied the 1.03 translation text file/folder to .../mods/teutonic/data. The end result is: game is still entirely in russian. I am missing text all over the place, no start game, multiplayer, options etc.. missing text on unit cards and units... Please tell me where I went horribly wrong... I'm guessing I'll need to completely reinstall both Medieval II, Kingdoms and CoW, amirite?

*sigh* plz help. If someone could point me in the direction of complete and 100% working install instructions (with eng translation) that would be great.

This link has got the whole mod, including the English translation, rename your teutonic folder to teutonic_old or something, then extract it into the mod directory and click runme.bat (i guess)

That's fine. And if you really want to play the teutonic campaign along with this mod, just tell me what you renamed your folder and I can send a bat file to you with your specifications.
