Those a re not fatal. Please compress and attach your log. To do so, click on 'Go Advanced' and then choose 'manage attachment'.

could not create settlement at script line 2186.

There is a fatal error in creating that settlement. It does not state what causes the error, but it could be a placement error (eg placed in water).

Which version of CoW did you install? Mine or the original?

If you have a reasonably fast connection, I would suggest to download my version (either through RapidShare or torrent) together with the patches in that thread's second post. Before you do that, delete your present installation of Call of Warhammer and apply this tutorial from point 3 onward.

My problem is that I have te gold edition and it seems that it doesn't work
also I have no other mods and I have a Vista and I use winZip

It has been a pain in the neck with the Gold edition, you probably have not gotten the right patch for M2TW 1.5 - check with the guys in the tech forum on how to
go about installing the correct patch.

After that try another installation - else try my version

I CAN NOT GET NEW 1.5.1 rar. files TO WORK. Downloaded all the different parts for days. But The .rar files are all corrupted /broken. No problems with the 1.4.4 rar files but all the 1.5 are broken. It is crazy. tried 3 different programs to unzip and all the rar files crash at the last part. What the heck is up. spend days downloading and they are all worthless. Wanted to play the new version so bad but is it a lost cause for a year or something? Is it hopeless for a new version to be downloaded and have a stable no crash campagn. 1.4.4 worked 100% and am at turn 48. but want all the cool things in new versions

listen to this one: this is what i have problem with now with my new computer that i buildt myself and play TATW with MOS for M2TW, Stainless Steel, Skyrim, WOW, Dota2 etcetcetcetc on, so the computer is fine i have just done something wrong with the installation of this one that i didnt do the last time...

I pray that someone can help me, i have played CoW before on my old computer but i have a new one now, i have intalled and played M2TW kingdoms on it and its fully patched, i have also played TATW with MOS but when i installed:
CoW 1.5 + 1.5.1 patch
+ CoW Eng (unit desc etcetc in english)
and lastly the CoW Voice
I start up the mod, here is when it gets interesting, i get through the loading of the mod, then intro, get through that to, now i get a new loading screen with the loading bar that loads up completley, here is were i should get to the menu of CoW but instead i get an windows error sound and a small window in the middle of the screen with no text, only an option to click ok, once i do that game crashes to desktop

I installed it to my "C:\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\Call_of_Warhammer

when i try to run it as admin i also get an error windows message saying basically it cannot find the kingdoms.exe Check so that you gave the right name and try again.

Also i get an error message in the command window saying:

C:\Windows\System32>del \Q ".\data\text\*.bin"
Can not find the searchpath.

C:\Windows\System32>del \Q ".\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign\*rwm"

Can not find the searchpath.

C:\Windows\System32>cd "..\.."

C:\>start kingdoms.exe (HERE IS A STRANGE SYMBOL, IT MIGHT BE AN @)mods\call_of_warhammer.cfg

Also: the tips on the loadingscreens are still in russian, i think they should be in english since i have installed the two language packs

I have exactly the same problem. Currently I am reinstalling medieval 2 total war and I will see if this helps.
