Thread: 1.02 installer

  1. #1

    Default 1.02 installer

Is there somewhere that a 1.02 installer for the mod can be found?

I can't find an easy to use 1.01 installer to patch.

My tech skills aren't hot enough to splice together multiple files ect, so any help is much appreciated.

For instance the sticky tells me to donwload

    FULL Version 1.02

    http://hotfile.com/dl/24058235/e5b4ad7/Setup_Call_of_Warhammer_1_02.7z.004.html

I donwloaded one and had no idea what to do.

Do I have to put them together? Or is one an installer? Or do I have to cut an past into the Teutonic folder and not install at all?

need to use 7Zip to extract installer from Setup_Call_of_Warhammer_1_02.7z.001

    So I can't use winrar?

Because I tried to unzip it with that program and it had no idea what it was.

    Edit:

I just tried using 7Zip, no luck there either.

You can use WinRAR but you must go into options->integration and tell it to associate with 7-zip otherwise it'll act as if clueless.

You need to download the file from each link and then double click the .001 file and let winRAR extract it. It'll automatically .002 and so on and piece together the full archive. This is what is called a segmented archive and they are just tedious. Before winRAR can fiddle with it you need to set it up, as described above, to associate with 7-zip files...

I've told Winrar to recognise 7zip.

My computer is still clueless about the files, it just doesn't recognise them at all (i'm on vista).

I managed to get the 1.02 installer working (thanks to your help guys).
The mod installed but it won't start.

the command prompt comes up with "C\program Files\Medieval II total war- Kingdoms\mods\teutonic>cd ..\..

    C\program Files\Medieval II total war- Kingdoms>start kingoms.exe @mods\teutonic\warhammer.cfg

Then an error message comes up informing me "Windows cannot find 'kingdoms.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly and try again."

    How do I fix this?

The retail version of the game is in a different directory, normally. When you install you have to point it to C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\teutonic instead of the other directory which the devs used, hmm makes me wonder
Oh no the picture of my dog disappeared!
