Icon2 Line Infantry Retextures (French Line Updated 04/02)

These are my first attempts at retextures. Thanks to Danova for allowing me to use elements of his Russian Guard Musketeer skin for French and Prussian skins

These are saved as mod packs so you will have to use mod manager or enable in your script if you wish to use.

    Thanks Freelancer

Doombunny - I used the bottom half of the legs from Danova's skin because i love the way they look. Also the buttons and hats from his Russian Guard musketeer... other than that the rest I did myself

As I said, this is my first attempt... Hopefully i can make the next one completely on my own

i have had some previous experience in Photoshop but only just started playing with textures in the past couple of days. I will try and create some more line infantry textures to get some practice.

Have you seen the VOC infantry in the United Provinces Retexture Project? They look fantastic IMO

I'm sure I could give it a try as long as the uniform isn't too complicated. Would be good practice

    Do you have a picture?

Gary - Yes i have your Prussian mod, it's one of my favorites Thanks for the links i will try a historical skin next after i complete the French.

Here's a preview of French Line... Can anyone tell me how to remove the detailing on the cuffs? I have edited the gloss map but they still appear?

Yeah all you need to do is to go into the normal file, then when you have done this go to the left hand box and upen up channals there you will see at the bottom of the list (alfa channal) this is where you get rid of any detailing, then do the same with the RGB channal. save both, also if you have gloss showing up in finnished texture .
and you want to get rid of gloss button's ect you will need to do the same in the glioss map/ channal

    Mong,

You make an amazing job here. (Prussia Russia and France)
There is something so realistic in your choice of textures and colors. The "Ornamentum touch" is a real "plus"
Danova's job is a good base for sure but you have talent no doubt.
I have just something to say about the french line...More blue ! The light blue used here is barely perceptible.

If you have already see the mouillard plate, you may have notice that even if there is not one unique uniform for french line, most of the "régiment" are coloured in white and blue (some are also white and red or white white as the page shows it)

http://www.flyingpigment.com/french/frenchinf2.jpg (bad screen but it give an idea)

the 10 th regiment of Flandres is typical. (last of the mouillard page)
It as already been reskinned by Orion33 for Ancien Regime, but this mod is no longer updated (even if it still working)
It was just for giving you an idea of the French "bleu roi"
