How to change religion of faction before starting the game?

Dlete the map.rwm and start a new campaign.

It crashes now when I choose faction and want to start campaign...I play Eras Total Conquest and I deleted map.rwm but from data/world/maps/New Age campaign not from data/world/maps/base, and it crashes, so I restored map.rwm and again it crashes..it says:"M2TW encountered unspecified error and now will exit".

Since it's a mod you are playing with, ask them. I know where things are for vanilla but mods can do strange things.
