convinced or not ,YOU WILL ALL BUY THE DAMN GAME !!!!! even if it is bugged. Ok CA does screw tw on certain aspects , but come on . They are the only one who were able to make a game of this sort. Nobody has been able to deliver a game with such a concept on such a level of quality ... and you all know it! so stop whining bout empire and napoleon

I love it when someone pipes up with this crap and then someone says something silly to support him like "yep! that`s the way things work."

Eh? No. that`s not the way things work at all.

CA are not the only Devs that can make a game like this. They are not the only people who have made or will make a game like this (and better) in the future. I can even give you examples of such games and Devs, and guess what? i`m not going to tell you who they are, I`ll leave you in suspension for a while...

oh, and when people say they won`t buy a game from a same Dev again because of their past bad work, many of them DO actually mean it.

Broaden your horizons and stop being sheep.

A plea to CA: Please give us NON-STEAM OPTIONS such as with GOG.COM`s Alan Wake and Witcher 2, etc. Even allow a system such that Mount and Blade Uses. Many of us will pay extra for a Steam-free version of RTW2.
The use of STEAM-ONLY by CA is ethically wrong because:
    1. It does not need to be forced. It could be optional as other games have proven.
    2. It discriminates between internet users and non-users or those who simply do not want it.
    3. The `advantages` are only advantages in a very small and superficial manner. They do not counter the disadvantages.
    4. It suits the company way more than the user. We are simply told it`s better for us
Finally,I shall not give CA|SEGA my money for RTW2 while it forces Steam on me. They have given us no good reason why it must be so. Basically they don`t care.

A Steam Option would benefit ALL. Don`t fight us, JOIN us.
    Games don`t need forced Steam

I voted for: I wasn't convinced then, and I am still not convinced.

Eventually I might buy it, but only after:
1: Certain people that had alot of critism are in awe of the AI and other stuff.
2: x time after release when it's in a sales bin for 5 euro or less.

The only 2 new things that I found interesting are the negative diplomacy system and the supply line system. Other then that I think it's a downgrade from ETW and previous titles, smaller map/still pretty large provinces etc etc.

Yep for the sheep that is, I consider myself a wolf then and wait untill they deliver something decent and stick to their word. Mod tools ETW anyone?

If CA keeps up with this trend there will be other Devs filling up the gap. It's just a matter of time, poor releases, crap DLC's and telling people you won't support their game anymore(ETW 1.5). The sheep won't mind, the wolves will eat you alive and piss on the remains of your corpse.

What I don't understand is why people like you are telling me what I should or shouldn't do. I linger on this forum because I still play RTW, MTW2 and ETW. Although playing ETW with a major mod is required for me, otherwise I would go bananas.
When I spend my hard earned money on a product that does not deliver on the promises made, I feel entitled to burn it down to the ground. If you don't like that, don't read it.

No indeed they are not the only ones who can ,but will. I havent seen any tw look a likes yet ,but heck if you wont tell me guess ill never find out. CA has a monopoly on these things ! Only in war there is a giant progress of improvement, so i hope you are correct.

Some people wont buy it; thats correct .However most of them will. Because otherwise if people stop buying the games ,modding will be limited to rome ,m2tw and empire. If we didnt have their engines ,where would we be? Nowhere, unless youre going to start your own firm of game development and start from scratch.
Tw has always been succesfull in the eyes of the public, but as long as tw experts gather to talk bout it . There will always be things to criticize.

I for one welcome N TW with open arms ,because i look at it from an open perspective ,i see new possibilities , new experiences and memories. If you however only see the negative things bout it instead of the opportunities . than i guess im not the one who is the sheep.

LOL Convinced with what, a few screenshots which only show graphics and no gameplay, or Kierans mini interviews circulating the net, not showing us how they improved the AI (battle, diplomacy etc.).
    On release

The world is made of broken promises. Sure its bloody annoying and treachorous ,they did promised some stuff that wasnt in the final version ,but still they did a great job. Maybe not for the diehards ,who were able to finish the game on VH/VH but for the majority . And that is the main purpose of every game ,it has to be something that anyone can just pick up and say :damn this is fun ! They accomplished their task, even official reviewers gave scores between 85 and 95 %

Nope, I will wait a year and get it cheap once it is patched and there are some decent mods for it. If they want me to buy it on release they can start finishing their games before they release them.

It looks way to similar to ETW for a full price purchase, I'd possibly consider it if it gains amazing reviews and goes on an offer on Steam or whatever.

ETW was such a major let down for me and this game looks almost identical.

I won't be pre-ordering as I did for ETW, that's for sure. I've had a genuine interest in the Napoleanic era for a long time but even so it'll be a case of wait and see. Don't want to get my fingers burnt twice.

No I wont buy the game immediately because there is a point where you have to say no to people churning out halfbaked games.

I will however hope that it turns out to be a good game.
