How to Install again?

I know that this is a very wonderful mod and of all the mod I've seen, I think this is the best. But regardless of my compliments, the downloads seem to be really sporadic. Do I have to download 1.01 or can I only download 1.02 and make the game work? If so, can I get a new link to 1.02 because when I download the first part of 1.02, my zip says that there's an error and nothing appears. Thanks.

If you want to play 1.02 you need 1.01+Translation first. 1.02 is just an update or patch if you will. Think of it like an expansion. Can you play Kingdoms without MTW2?

Not sure what's up ( if anything ) with the DL links as I just use my saved 1.01 installer,sound and 1.02 patch installer

Recently I had a weird problem though reinstalling everything and having CTD. It wouldn't even get past the splash screen.

I reinstalled fresh medieval2+Kingdoms+1.5 Kingdoms patch then COWTW 1.01+Music+1.01 translation then 1.02 patch update+1.02 hotfix+1.02 translation. I also made sure to tell the patch to install to M2TW folder instead of M2>Kingdoms.

Im not really sure what the problem was ( maybe I needed 1.0? ) I read the log and it said something about player preferences.txt being missing.

Don't really know but I had to revert to a saved working backup of 1.02 to get it to work again then 1.02 hotfix and translation and now it's running smoothly.

You asking me or him? For me yes but I found it odd a fresh re-install didn't work and I had to go back to a backup version.

I don't advice you to get to 1.00 version, 1.01 is MUCH MORE stable.

1.01 is the full version. There is no need for 1.00

I'm sure Alzip is fine (I used to have that also), but 7zip is pretty good. You can use it with any other file extraction program too. I have winzip (trial expired), Winrar, and 7zip and they all work fine
