It is 488 A.D, somehow the Romans have resisted the wave of Franks,Goths,Vandals, and Ostrogoths. Parts of Illyria have been delivered and Roman glory has been restored by Augustus Servius, who has crushed the Ostrogoths and been proclaimed Magister Peditum and Dux of Noricum. The current situation is with the Franks, as they rock the frontier towns with abandon and set war to lands like fire ignites oil, but Augustus Imperator will advance to Noricum with the Palatinae of Rome, and the Magister Equitum with the Palatinae of Ravenna.
There he besieges a former Roman land and a Frankish force intercepts him.
The Magister Equitum examines the Franks besieging the Noricum legion in Octodurus.
And the Palatinae of Rome go to battle.
On the left flank standing proudly, the Catafractarii.
In the center stand the Palatinae of Rome, warriors or the sons of warriors who fought under the general Ricimer and liberated Sicily and Illyria.
There stands the Roman elite, and their Clibanarii allies, ready to bash into enemy formations.
Here come the destroyers and imitators of Roman culture, absorbing yet destroying and taking Roman land and values.
Roman glory will be perserved! The Palatinae ready their weapons and battle.
Our Cataphractarii charge, skewering through our apostate brothers.
The Franks begin to falter, and then collapse in its resistence to Roman might when their general is struck with the Spatha.
The center is then subjected to a Clibanarii charge, routing all but the horsemen.
However, the enemy horseman cannot resist God's will.
