the dwarves have allready been implemented in 1.4 database and the hammers as you can see in screeshots actually arent THAT huge ....they have allmost the same size as the axes of "axemen of erebor" but transfered into a hammer version
I hate WOW as well , but IIRC hammers haven been a totaly lore accurate weapon for a dwarf..... BTW thanks for comments

1) Settlements are planned to be added , specificaly for dwarves and Dunland, as for the elves (i think Beorn should answer that , but IMHO ) they probably should have the same regions but respectively divided
Yes i suppose Lorien will be a small faction (facing extinction) with mighty units
2) Mwardens of Galadhrim are equipped with a glaive (plz dont call it pike ) and bow .... So as for battle style, it will be : Stakes/Flaming arrows for the primary bow + 2h elven glaive (as seen in the battle screenshot), ...
unfortunately it is impossible to have them behave as archers & pikemen at the same time....there are limitations as for special abilities!

I wasn't complaining about the hammers. I love hammers. Just the size appears a bit over the top IMO. Could be the screenshot though.

and what might be there starting alliances and delcared war upon aleready personally i hink lorian should be nutral to every faction except maybe mordor because all the good factions are at war with them, though they could get really pissed if you enter there land (excuse the launguage but that the only word i could think of to describe what happenes when you pass into there lad they git pissed and turn u into a pin cusion :p ) also could you perhaps expand the wood a bit

Actually Lorien wouldn't be as neutral as one thinks, isolationists yes due to constant threat of Dol Guldor and lack of nearby enemies, for Galadriel is the mother of Elronds wife so some alliance or at least good relations would be there. Galadriel also welcome Aragorn to her halls before (hunt for gollum if im right) so she must have some liking for the Dunedain or Eriador. And the silvan elves of Lorien would most likely also be allied to Mirkwood because they share common ancestry, customs, ect.

They definitely wouldn't be friendly with the dwarves or Rohan and would most likely be at constant war with Mordor (lets not forget either that the forces of Dol Guldor often try to assault or raid Lorien only to fail due to the power of Nenya and the sentinels, I hope that's the right ring)

well there are enough nothern-eastern rebel settlements and some to the south-east as well
that could ensure ered-luins expansion in early stages, and they probably will be given an extra
region in map (probably Belegost)
in latter stages though they will have to face OOtMMs , should they want more regions....

BTW i am really looking forward to releasing it!

Any thoughts on doing the same for Dol Gulder?

Then Lorien & Mirkwood would have something serious to contend wth. And the Mordor AI can concentrate on smashing Gondor.

we were planning to make them able to choose the side they want to war with, but it would de-balance the whole mod, as we are adding 3 "good" faction and another one would be too much. So Dunledings are Melkorish.

Aye aye I see, thanks for the clarification, but the "good" side woul in truth only get 2 extra actions rather than 3 or will silvan elves still exist even tough they would be separated in two?

I suggested once that Dunland would make a good faction because the OotMM are kind of... surrounded by enemies and Isengard is in no position to help and Eriador lacks a "natural" enemy.

the Gladhrim are like the link between high elves and silvan elves so probably the galadhrim will be allied with both, but meanwhile the alliance between high elves and mirkwood will cease to exist

also in eriador it should be made an alliance between ered-luin, eriador and high elves

As for dunland, dunland is kinda neutral towards sauron, but its linked to isengard to wich they are allied to, so if isengard is melkorish, they should be aswell, although with the alliance script of the game perhaps it would be possible to have dunland allied with isengard, but with northman culture and at war with rohan and perhaps at war with eriador aswell

Someone asked for new settlements, did you guys considered asking for skeleton_of_the_west extended map mod, in his mod the galadhrim have like 4 start settlements and ered luin has 3(being one in the middle of high elven lands), the lands of enedwaith also got at least 1 new province for the dunlandings to expand, its just an ideia though
