Wow that never happend to me in vanilla TATW. Sauron can call an invasion over a modor city too? There is a way to stop it once is started?
This invasion is lasting from more then 30 turns.
Stunning Work ! I love it!
Very good !
Ok its just another submod!...l suppose....
Definitely Not well made!
Booooo-ring!
I will continue to ignore FRoME as i did before release.

Do you have any plans to include the additional units mod? I just saw it's been updated to TATW 1.4.1, so maybe it's a bit less work to convert it to FROME now. Just something I like to be in especially the Imladris pikemen. If not no hard feelings, I'm not contributing anything to the modscene as yet so I shouldn't ask too much of those who already give us mere players so much additional content already. Always willing to lend a hand though, but no experience or skill.
Odenat
Koul, a quick question
in all my campaigns Dwarves seem to slaughter Elves of Mirkwood (poor elfses have only one city left)
is it just my experience? if not, probably some alliance for them could be made?![]()
they'll be allies in the next version![]()
well as a matter of fact yes it happens to me as well
i included a tweak in the bugfixer to have them in better relations
but yet again they rage war on each other
It is though well noticed that this is excactly
how dwarves and (former) sylvan elves behave even in
vanilla.....
so ...yes in 1.1 there maybe a change on their diplomatic status!
i dont think so ....our primary goal was not to mess with the High elves at all
until LL came and lure me into tweaking them ....so no additional units probably but
maybe an overhaul can be possible in the (distant that is) future....as LL suggested!
i am bumping this for a reason
Our new units need descriptions and /or maybe a better name (the last stands for Guardians for Caras Galadhon)
Orophers Chosen's descriptions has allready been dealt with by seregras and i thank him for his excellent contribution
the units needing a description are
1) Azaghâl's Tomb ProtectorsSpoiler Alert, click show to read:
and
2) Guardians (or Sentinels)of Caras Galadhon (perhaps a better name could be suggested as well)
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
so if u think that u may have the time and the inspitation to write one for the above units
plz post them here
the best of them will be evalluated by FRoMEs members who deal with the descriptions
and will potentially be put through --if necessairy -- some correcting/fixing
Thanks in Advance

Azaghal's Tomb Protectors/Tomb Wardens
Dwarves have a long memory. Longer than any of the races of Middle-earth. And many of them remember very well the grievous Nirnaeth Arnoediad, and fiery wrath of Glaurung, and the glory of fallen king of Belegost, crushed by the Great Worm. Ever since that day Dwarves of Ered-Luin gather every year to sing an ancient girge in memory of their great ancestor.
Azaghal's Tomb Protectors are the descendants of the warriors of the past, who carried the body of Azaghal from the field of battle to his eternal resting place. They keep ward over the magnificent vault built on the highest peak of the Blue Mountains. Tomb Protectors have formed since then a grim cult of warriors with their own fighting traditions. They scorn heavy armour of their kinsmen in favour of mobility and speed. The best dwarven mail didn't save Azaghal and so his solemn guardians have chosen a different path. They wear only light armour (by dwarven standards) and twin weapon set, two ominous war hammers or axes. Their fury is unmatched on the battlefield, as they sweep through the ranks of the enemy, leaving no survivor[cut a bloody trail through the ranks of the enemy]. Many goblins and even dragons have fallen from their hands, in [eternal service to the great king of Belegost] immortal glory of the great king of Belegost.
I'm thinking of the name Galadhrim/Elven Youth for the new elven unit, meaning they are young and hence disregard armour cause of their pride. I'll probably write a description for them later
Great description Beregond!
Mallorn Wardens.
Mellyrn originally grew on Tol Eressëa in Valinor. Gil-Galad took some Mellyrn-nuts to Middle-Earth to plant them, but they didn't grow in Lindon. When Galadriel went to Lothlórien she took some nuts with her and planted them there. In the land along the river Nimrodel these trees rose to immense heights and gave the land the name of "Golden Wood". But since Sauron has reveiled himself again, the forests near his fortress of Dol Goldur have become threatened. Being aware of this, Lord Celeborn started to take measures. The Mallorn Wardens are Elves that will protect the golden trees at all costs. They are lightly armoured and fight with swords so they are able to fight high up in the trees. Under any threat to their Golden Woods they will fight to defend them till it is gone, or they have given their last breath...

Nice descriptions, Beregond and El Cid![]()
Can someone tell me what event triggers the more advanced units? I am on turn 100 and still cant recruit the better units. thanks
which one are u refering to tanker?
if u refering to the 4 newly previewed(says to be included in 1.1 frome next to them) units then u should know that they arent yet released
if u are refering to one of our factions units then recruitment is normaly following the
TATW precedure
between turn 90-120 all high tier units become available
a message will pop up saying that the barracks are working in full capacity or smth like that!
ahh yes forgot about that ..... gone ages since i played (testing is NOT playing) for the last time....
in order to have our previews page load up quicker
i am updating the OP with a new way of previewing those units replacing the
old mshape screenies with renders( one render as representantive of each unit)
..... some of those previews may be temporarily off...
thanks for your understanding
I'm just wondering what kind of role is the new Lorien unit going to play?
How will they differ from Lorien sentries if they are just sword and shield units with light armor?
What if you had a unit with axes?
The Sindar are known for using axes and this would fill a critical role of having "armor piercing" units for Lorien since they currently have none.
the new lorien unit will fill the gap between sentries(low) and galadhrim swordsmen(high tier)
allthough there is a low and a high tier ...the roster lacks a medium tier one and that is what they supposed to be ....med-tier swordsmen
better attack and better defence (due to their shield) than sentries
higher morale and 110 soldiers....this will probably be their features....
axes are given to the more rustic elves of mirkwood...so we need not to mix up eqquipment and/or battle styles cause
then we will loose the factions originality!
thats why we prefer to have lorien eqquiped with swords (portraying the Eldar influence on Lorien)
Ok, try this on for size:
If you want to read about Cerin Amroth (my main inspiration): http://www.tuckborough.net/hills.html#Cerin%20AmrothSentinels of Cerin Amroth
Cerin Amroth is a a grassy flower covered hill in Lothlorien of great spleandour remarked by Aragorn to be "the heart of Elvendom on earth". On the hill's summit there are two circles of trees in whose branches King Amroth, the previous ruler of Lothlorien, built his residence. King Amroth and his house are long gone but the hill retains its great importance to the Galadhrim. Sentinels of Cerin Amroth are an honor guard who keep watch over this sacred place and ensure that its beauty remains unspoiled. From the topmost flet in the inner circle of trees, which was once the highest point in all of Lothlorien, the Sentinels observe the surrounding lands and are even able to keep watch on Dol Guldur itself. Just as the flowers that grow on the hill, elanor and niphredil, are coloured gold and white and the outer trees have white bark while the inner circle are the golden mallorn trees so the shields of the Sentinels bear those two colours as well, symbolizing the things it is their duty to protect. All Sentinels are expected to uphold the legacy of King Amroth, beauty, prosperity, valor and wisdom, and lend their minds or swords, whichever is needed, to the protection or betterment of the Golden Wood. They are lightly armoured but highly skilled and resolved and able to swiftly move through the trees. If Cerin Amroth is the heart of elvendom then the Sentinels are its shield.
