    Default CTD problem when playing real time battles

    whenever i play a custom game or a RTS game on the campaign no matter wich factions are used or what map i play on i always get a CTD, does anyone know of a way i can find out what the problem is and/or how to fix it??

    for extra info it is a FRESH instalation, brand new game, no mods, had to get a new copy of the game and it still doesnt work

    Have you unpacked the game?

    What are your computer specs?

    its a 3GB ram quantom processor 1.2 terabites memory PC on windows vista, its a HP with windows one care (wich has been causing problems) brand new installation (i had to buy a new copy of the game after my first one broke, dust in the disk drive scratched it too bad) of the total space i have used about 50GB total, leaving 1.15 terabites left soo...

    btw, i un-installed the game that was installed from the first disk using the first install code and re-installed the game using the 2nd set of disks and second code, btw is their any chance that because the disk was scratched it installed a damaged file(s) wich the un-installer didn't recognise and so didn't delete?

    1.2TB is your harddrive.
    How much meory do you have?
    What video card/chip do you have and how much dedicated memory does it have?

    Since you just got it, have you activated Vista yet? HP won't.
