New Empire portraits + Simpler Unit Cards

Alternative Empire general-portraits

I have been using these ones myself for a while, and tought to offer them for anyone else, if someone likes them. So basically I have taken all pics from WH-art from various artists, and replaced old general pictures with new ones.

Simpler Unitcards

I got this idea from suggestions thread, so I made this small change.
So basically I just removed "faction symbol" behind units, from unit-cards, to make them more simple, and clearer:

Currently I have done Tzeentch, Nurgle, Khorne, Slaanesh, Night goblins, Dwarves, Kislev, High elfs, rebels and Orcs so far, but I'll update if someone spots something to fix.

And thanks for the CoWH-team for this awesome mod

Installation instuctions:
Extract the file in Medieval2/mods/teutonic/data/ui/units and overwrite files there, with extracted ones.

Excellent!!! I was also very concerned by this poor readibility (IMO).

I was hoping someone will do it (as my talent in photoshop is somewhat poor).

Do you plan to remake all factions unit cards ? Most of them (except Empire) share the same problem.
I would rep you if i could (cannot until end of march).

Nice work men.

But i have one suggestion if you are interested in changes in that direction.

You can make background of the units card in different colors..?..depending by each faction..but very carefully chosen,to not affect unit from the picture...

Or...you can make something unique...making them in black and white colors...

I'm not sure if I'm planing to remake them, since I think they look great as they are. But I'll look into it.

I find it difficult to read anything on the chaos factions' UI, due to the light grey colour from the stone background. But I do like the golden trim though. Good work with the unit cards. +rep!

Try at last to change backround of the unit cards with other colors and maybe you will be nicely surprised by the results.

About black and white stile...is your choice if you want to make something or not...i just suggested...

Yeah, I always have to squint my eyes to see the words on the UI. Besides, cedric, I uploaded a fix for the settlement advancement problem in outlaw's thread. I found the cause.

Awesome! I had avoided playing a long term Chaos campaign since I got tired of trying to differentiate the units (kept having to refer to their tooltips). Good work.

But could i suggest you to remove also the red thing behind Rugglug's armored orcs ? And maybe the yellow thing under goblin netters feet ?
And orc boyz + orc boyz with spear still have a piece of red to the right.

Just my 2 cents, they are already a tad better like this.
