The biggest issue to get over with the dwarves is that you are going to take losses and marching distances are long. , you still need a disposable front. Always keep a wave of miners and warriors across your front line, and save your heavies for interception or flanking. Axethrowers are also great to skirmish with the snagas and deplete their ammo and numbers.

That's what I repeat: encirclement with Warriors units, for they are cheap (for a dwarf) and wear a shield, and can be numerous. Miners must be used once the snaga aim the Warriors, also for Axethrowers who are not protected and die easily in a skirmish duel against snaga, for throwers shoot from less far, are slower and less numerous.
