how do you launch the game.... nothing works right it just bucks up in loading.

MTW2 Error cannot be specified exiting... BS crap. please help mod looks great and i have a rig for it but its windows 7 and i think i missed up installation but i actually got everything right. everytime i run Vista Conquest it has some few files skipped... why does it skip! same with xp but with fewer files skipped!

Usually it skips files because the bat files are in the wrong folders. They need to be in the 'C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War' folder and the 'conquest' folder needs to be in the 'C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods' folder.

    Here's how

    1. Open the "Computer" shortcut on your desktop

    2. You'll see a little blue ? mark button in the top right corner of the screen. Click it.

    3. A dialog box will come up. Type "Disable User Control" in the search box up at the top. Press Enter once typed.

    4. Click on "2. How do I change the behavior of User Account Control by using the slider?"

    5. Follow the instructions at the bottom of the page. Once you do that, you can play the mod (you may want to reinstall it though)

Can you be more specific regarding your problem. Are you having problems unpacking the mod or starting it?

I recently started playing Eras again and have noticed that I do actually get a lot of CTD issues with this game now that I play it in 7.
Turns out my User Account Control is already turned off from ages ago, but it still CTDs. I might have to reinstall Eras and see if that helps.

No, but it doesn't matter, now. For reasons that have nothing to do with Eras, I've gone back to using XP, anyway. I still get the occasional CTD, but it's not as troublesome as before.

Thanks for making such a awesome looking mod, sadly something isn't working. I have Windows7 64bit and after installing the mod and following all instructions I get to opening screen and Medieval2 has encountered a unspecified error and will now close CTD. Ifyou can help me it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Can you replicate the crash, then upload an error log. This thread explains how:

I followed all the steps and when I run any of those three files conquest VISTA, conquest XP or True Conquest the black screen opens and then I get CTD without any errors saying what it is.
I did fresh install again and I was able to run once with True Conquest but after I tried to run XP and VISTA bat file I get those black ctd's again. Now nothing works. Is
