Default Attention all Windows 7 users!

In order to play this mod, you MUST! disable User Control. Type "Disable User Control" in the help box to find it and put the slider all the way to the bottom. Once you do this, the mod will work.

    Here's how

    1. Open the "Computer" shortcut on your desktop

    2. You'll see a little blue ? mark button in the top right corner of the screen. Click it.

    3. A dialog box will come up. Type "Disable User Control" in the search box up at the top. Press Enter once typed.

    4. Click on "2. How do I change the behavior of User Account Control by using the slider?"

    5. Follow the instructions at the bottom of the page. Once you do that, you can play the mod (you may want to reinstall it though)

Are you sure we need to do this? I just finished playing the mod about two minutes ago (windows 7 ultimate upgrade from vista)

EDIT: Scratch what I said above, It seems the only reason it was working was because I didn't need to copy any new files (had the empire campaign files copied when I upgraded)

    Awesome mod by the way.

You won't be able to copy files so the mod may not start.

Personally, I use the XP bat file. Also, did you make sure you are following the following items?:

    1) You are running the game as the administrator.

    2) You have kingdoms 1.5

    3) You turned off user control

    4) You installed the game correctly. If you are having trouble with this category, look here.

yep, that's how you do it.

Try running the mod through the XP.bat. That's what I do and it works for me

That's strange. I recently upgraded to Windows 7 and I've played Eras a few times now without doing this. It ran fine.

Every time I click on the vista or xp .bat files and choose a campaign it never starts up.This is what i have done so far, i have disabled user control, extracted it to the mods folder, and set up the mod in the launcher editing app (because i have steam), and so for everything i have tried has failed...

    Any help would be appreciated.

I installed this mod again and it won't work.

I disabled User Control, try to run as Admin on both XP and Vista bat, but it doesn't work.

    Edit

    Never mind.
    I didn't install mod correctly.

    Hi

I did a clean install with steam and extracted conquest 2.3.3 with no errors

I have win 7 and tried the vista.bat and xp.bat with same result.

I start up the game and choose M2TW (not one of the mods: crusade, british ....) and get and error, see pic I've attatched. All I can do afterwards is press enter.

    User control is fixed

    Please help
